Last Friday I rode my 2019 Speed Triple to my local Triumph dealership for his, what I call "Annual Physical". I finally turned Speedy over to 10K miles this past year. At this rate I'll be able to ride this bike until I'm long past being able to ride! ;):joy: That's ok, though, because I love my Speed Triple.

I haven't been spending much time at this dealership lately so it was nice to hang out, catch up with the guys, and poke around to see what they have on the floor. Oh, and eat popcorn. ;):yum

I couldn't believe how many bikes were sitting outside the building near the doorway to the service area. Yikes! Here's Speedy taking his place next to the sea of motorcycles waiting for his turn for a check-up.

There was a Bonnie Black in the parking lot. This sticker on the side panel caught my attention.

Soooooo many bikes in this building! This is the Triumph "corner".

And the KTM and Kawai area. There are also more Kawasakis at the far end of the Triumph area. Yep, soooo many bikes. You can't even walk between them. Someone has to pull a bike out if you want to see it better or swing a leg over it. The Triumphs are spread out a bit more. Evidently that's a display requirement of Triumph corporate. And it suits me. I like to swing a leg over. This time around I sat on the Speed 400. What a great little bike!

They had the Limited Edition "Elvis Bike" on the floor. Very pretty but I'm not sure how good an Elvis fan you'd have to be to have his name on your motorcycle. :joy::rolleyes:

Only one Speed Triple at the dealership at the moment. I have to say, I still like my 2019 version better. I'm not keen on the low pipes and not sure how one would be able to remove the passenger pegs (a must for me).

The popcorn machine is still alive and kicking, thank goodness! When I first looked over where it had been, I didn't see it. Turns out they moved it a bit and changed up some of the display area where it does its popping job. I have to admit that I ate three bags of popcorn while waiting for my bike. :p

My bike, ready for pick-up and another year of fun in the sun!:sun:

Hi Baza, they won't discolour at all, if they get any stone chips the coating re protects itself (look it up on You Tube), I was very sceptical at first but it works, the coating is really tough anyway, and you only need rinse it off after they get real dirty. The guy that did all the work also does lots of parts for some race teams and custom builders, he does CNC work as well, along with laser graphics on parts. Unfortunately I am full on with other work at present, but next up is my younger son's Katana for similar work.

Wow Sandi that is some dealership, and what a plethora of machines, you could spend a day there and not be fed up. It is still uncertain as to the future of KTM though, a few Moto GP KTM factory riders have hopefully got new rides for 2025, I am led to believe Pedro Acosta may well be on a Ducati. I am envious of all the warm weather you have.

Sandi, next time you are over there kicking your heels waiting for Speedy to be fettled you should take a Street Triple out for a spin. I would love to hear what you think of them.

@Sandi T So the dealer has to accompany you on a test ride? The Striple that you need to test ride is either of the 765 models, forget the 660.

@Sandi T Speedy's still looking good!! I was going to say give the Kawasaki ZX4RR a go, it's sooooo much fun; then realised the USA don't get the full power version that we get in Europe :sob:.

You'll be in grave danger of buying another bike if you get your mitts on a Street Triple .

@Martine, I wasn’t bowled over by the 400 I sat on either. It did feel a bit wide plus was taller than expected. Interesting that the 660 caught your attention (perhaps your head and pocketbook as well). You sound like you feel a bit like I do when bike catches my attention. Uh oh!! :joy::joy: Keep us posted please!

@Baza, it’s @Martine who’s looking at the 660. I’ve no interest in trading in my Speed Triple!

Thanks, @Mrs Visor! I think Speedy is still looking pretty dang good myself. ;):) And it sounds like I’d better avoid test riding a Street Triple. At this point at our house, there is DEFINITELY no room at the inn!:joy::joy::joy:
