I had two Mk3's back in the 80's. A 2000 GXL and a later model 1600 XL both with blue vinyl roofs!

Great photos, @Dartplayer! Where's the one taken with you and that ginormous fish? And what sort of tractor do you have? I'm a farm girl at heart as I grew up on a corn & soybean and hog farm in Minnesota. My family has always had John Deere's. I learned to drive a stick shift on a tractor!

    Well lemme see -

Playing Music- Bagpipes, Electric guitar (never liked acoustic), Banjo, Fiddle and, well, I can play a tune on most instruments although I just do not like Piano or keyboard at all for some reason and drums bore me after two minutes of doing animal impressions.

Listening to Music - Love old Rockabilly, Psychobilly, Punk, Metal, Thrash metal, Country, Bluegrass, Folk, Blues, classical.

Painting - Oils, acrylics and airbrush, used to be a graphic designer before I got sick of having to design utter crap for business men with no taste or sense of what looks good and did some tattooing many moons ago as well but gave that up because I got sick of doing crap tattoos for people with no imagination.

World War One Aviation history and building model kits of WWI aircraft- If anyone here is into model kits of aircraft you will know what I mean when I say the name Wingnut Wings although the company now seems to be sadly defunct.

Weightlifting - Never used to do any weightlifting as a youngster but, being six three and chunky it was always expected that I would be able to do the heavy work so I guess I did a bit until I put my back out when I made a hash of lifting and carrying a GSX750ES engine. Avoided lifting anything heavy for the past twenty five years for fear of doing my back in again until six months ago I decided that I was going to see what I could do. So far I am only up to 160kg deadlift, 100kg bench press and 70kg overhead press but that is way more than I ever thought my 48 year old bod would manage.

My final hobby is sitting at a safe distance and watching this bizarre spectacle called the human race as parts of the white faction beat themselves up and prostrate themselves in front of the other factions which is infuriating and generating hatred and racism amongst the other factions and those causing all the trouble don't seem to really know what they want or why they want it. Fascinating and all a little bit like the fall of many empires throughout history.

Fun thread, @Neil Lambton! I always think it's fun to get to know folks a bit beyond their motorcycle interests

Motorcycles are definitely my primary interest and hobby. I love all things motorcycle--riding, rallies, travel/trips, racing (spectating not racing myself), reading and talking bikes. You name it.

The other thing I love about as much as riding (though it's not as accessible since I live in the desert!) is scuba diving. If I could dive and ride every day for the rest of my life I'd be in heaven here on earth. :)
    P5250054.jpeg

Bicycling is also one of my hobbies. I raced for about 20 years but now ride for fitness, health, and the social aspect. I was a runner prior to that but, as happens with many runners, my body said "no more" and I started cycling instead.
    Bikes & "rack".jpeg

My other hobbies, interests, and loves include my beloved dog, Annie, and all the boxers that came before her. Eating and drinking (check out the What you drinking tonight? thread). ;) Travel.:sun: And driving my Mustang Bullitt. In my "spare time" I like to read and watch movies. But I don't have much spare time, especially since joining this forum. :joy: Oh, I also really love photography both for the "art" aspect of it but also as a fun way to document adventures and recall memories and to share those with others.

No, it was on the single track road between A708 & A701 going past the Talla & Megget reservoirs.
    Mid route.

Thanks Sandi, fish is a Snapper (good white meat, long lasting, and fights hard). Very popular to catch and eat in NZ and Australia where juveniles are called Bream. Photo taken on Auckland west Coast.
I have a 1948 David Brown in classic red. Needs some body work, but is an interest project. I used to tow the boat at the beach before PC laws meant it was not road worthy:tired_face:. John Deere are popular with farmers here too.
Car is low power compared to your Mustang, but still 304ci V8 forged block at 206kw and an Australian classic - 1994 VR Senator.

Messing about with and riding bikes has been my thing since 1980 - if you can call a 50cc moped a bike . So it's bikes, rallies and ride-outs really. Apart from that it's Land Rover's, bit of reluctant gardening and DIY. I generally enjoy trying to fix things - think this started when I watched a video, when I was about 15, where a bloke turned up at a house with a bag to tools and announced to the young lady who answered the door "I've come to fix your washing machine" Turned out the blokes name was John Holmes - never saw him fix that washing machine though

There are some truly great hobbies here you guys and gals....I feel a little short.

But my time is spent napping...but also aquascaping, banjo learning, building my extension, and most productively...homebrew. Mainly hedgerow wines and ciders... Basically, given enough suger I can ferment anything!

I love to eat snapper, @Dartplayer, but rarely have I seen any that size. I suspect that the places I've been they get caught by fisherman before that can grow that big.

I googled both your car and your tractor--both are really cool! Is your car an automatic or standard transmission? When I googled the David Brown tractor, this was one of the things that came up. :)

It's amazing how much tractors and farm equipment technology have changed. Here's a photo of one of my brother's current John Deere tractors taken when I was back in Minnesota a few years ago.

Well don't know where I fit in here. Used to love fishing till I came home one morning and my first wife was very ill. She had pancreatitis and never recovered. I have never fished since 30 odd years now. I did watch my boy racing his 675 Daytona's but he has stopped for a while now. I do love walking and discovering places where a lot of people go on holiday to sit around a pool I just love to get out and meet people and see things. I do love my bike building and renovating but these days find it a chore. Love my garden of what I have but strive to keep it neat and tidy. These days I like to read mostly bike related stuff. Used to jog some years ago and was thinking about restarting watch this space. Well that's me in an eggcup.
    Regards
    Joe.

Motorbikes are obviously my main hobby, but I like cooking and am pretty good at pastry. I make my own bread and used to make sausages too, but it’s a difficult task to do on your own.
I like to go camping with Cyril the motorhome. The other loves are my two cats, although one of them is heading for a permanent stay at the Holiday Home For Pets Pie Company, if she doesn’t buck her ideas up.
I’m very interested in history and architecture especially art nouveau and Art Deco. Finally as a petrol head I like old cars.
