Replaced the old driving lights on the Jeep with some new led cubes, and gave it a good clean and detail for Spring. Not too bad looking for a daily driven 21 year old Jeep. It’ll probably rain by the end of the evening.

Had a ride out on the Tuonos with my son this afternoon. It started off dry, but we both got a bit of a soaking on the way back.

Your Jeep looks great, OsteKuste! Did your washing of it bring on the rain? Funny how often that holds true.:joy:

I knew that 50p Meccano set you bought off Uddersfield market would come good one day. :p:D

Honestly, I’d love a Meccano set. We don’t really have the equivalent here in the States.

Got out on the interceptor today. It tried to rain a couple of times, but managed get home without getting wet. Was in the house about 20 mins and the heavens opened up.

That is one good looking bike. I’ve pondered a Continental GT as a second bike in the shed

I test rode the GT and the interceptor. Both bikes are capable, and competitively priced, which is no surprise as they are almost identical. However I preferred the more upright riding position on the interceptor to the GT. Both are cracking looking bikes though. :):)

Take it that it feels more ‘period’ than the thruxton?

Apart from the obvious power differences the Thruxton feels much more planted on the road to the Interceptor. The weight is almost identical so it is a bit of a surprise that there is so much difference in the feel when on the bikes. However, It could be down to the riding position ?

Had some family over for lunch today. Survived with this non-Triumph branded beverage. About six gnt in and I can almost be sociable.

Fitted an MRA touring screen to the GS this morning, managed a short half an hour test ride. So far I'm impressed, a lot less wind noise and buffeting.

I headed out bright and early this morning on my H-D Street Glide and met up with five ride buddies 7AM. We met at one of our usual QT's (QuikTrip gas station) for a breakfast ride up to Porter's Saloon in Superior, Arizona. Mr. Sandi had requested today's route but unfortunately he woke up feeling poorly so stayed home in bed.

Today's motorcycle assortment included a Yamaha Super Tenere, a Yamaha Tracer, a BMW 1250 GS, two Harley Street Glides and--the first one in Tucson--Harley's new ADV bike, the Pan American. Our buddy, Larry, just took ownership of his Pan AM Friday late afternoon. After handing them the check he immediately rode it from the dealership all the way to the top of Mt. Lemmon 25 miles up from 2500' to 9000' and got back home at 9:30PM. :) Yep, he was very excited to finally get that bike after months of waiting.

The 2021 H-D Pan American. I've been impressed by the numerous positive reviews but, as they say, the proof is in the pudding. After today's ride, Larry has now already ridden it nearly 500 miles and is all smiles so far.

This is a terrific route with tons of twisties and canyons and sweeping views. We ride right by a vast mine between Winkleman and Superior that is currently inactive. My favorite part of this ride the initial section between Superior and Globe with its steep red rock canyon walls and winding roads. It even takes you through a cool, short tunnel.

Here's an aerial photo of Superior taken with my drone. Yeah, just kidding. It's a screen shot from the interweb. ;) Superior's current population is around 3,000 and it sits at an elevation of 2,888 feet. The town was originated to support the Silver Queen and Magma Mines.

The Porter's "Welcome Wagon" :joy: They go all out here.
    IMG_4935.jpeg

Porter's moved into a new building during Covid and I hadn't yet been to this new one. We always enjoyed the previous spot but this one beats it hands down. There's a lovely shaded patio out front where we ate today, a deck on the back looking out at the mountains, a lower level bar-type space, and a big open lot area for (perhaps) games of horseshoes or bag toss. But I'm not sure where that bridge goes to. I'll have to ask when we go back. I think Mr. Sandi and I will do this ride again soon--just the two of us--since he didn't get to join us today.

Porter's indoor dining area and bar is really nice, too. We'll sit there at some point in the future when we feel back to normal when it comes to indoor dining. Whenever that is.........
    IMG_4948.jpeg

There was one Triumph among the many bikes at Porter's on this beautiful morning. :sun::blush: It looked to me like the new Porter's has become a biker destination. It's about 90 miles to the east of Phoenix on U.S. Highway 60 and about the same distance to the north of Tucson.
