    My Bullet has the twin seat and therefore I can't fit a rack easily. I overcame the problem by modifying a Hitchcocks tail bag that I had fitted to my Himalayan, I used the two bolt holes in the seat, the bolt hole on the mudguard stay and used a P clip fitted to the frame, it is a firm attachment and takes a "get you home" kit, I have a few spanners, tye wraps, a foam aerosol to fix punctures and some tape. Looks ok, it is out of the way and does the job.

    Pulled the fireblade out of hibernation and did the oil and filter change. A new air filter was all ready to go but the one fitted was still like new, so just gave an air duster blow over. Still SORN until the salts all gone but fingers crossed that won’t be too far off

    Lol surely that's usually, stereotypically, a single mans living room @Mrs Visor :joy::joy::joy:

    A proper use for the settee ;)

    My mate keeps his bike in the dining room despite having a garage.

    I don't normally venture out on 2 or 4 wheels at Easter. Being retired, I prefer to head out mid week if going out on the bikes as its much quieter, especially living near the coast and seaside holiday towns. Today however its been too nice not to go out, so the mobile smoke screen aka the NS400 was pressed into service and much fun was had on back lanes fairly close to home. At one point the indicators stopped working. As I was only a few miles from base camp I headed back and had a look to see what the issue was. When I stopped on my driveway the Neutral light didn't seem to be working either so after taking off my gear I switched the ignition on again and everything electrical had decided to have a day off. Lol. Suspecting the main 30 amp fuse which is atop the battery, I stripped off the side fairing and was rather amused to find the bolt holding the live cable to the battery had worked loose and disappeared somewhere en route. I guess I was lucky I didn't stop the engine as I might not have been able to restart at the roadside. Delving around in the garage I came up with a replacement and once fitted everything was hunky dory again, indicators included, so I went off again for another blast. Its such a fun bike to ride I really must ride it more often, but I've had several bolts and screws go missing due to the motor vibrations. You really do need to check the obvious candidates before setting off. The fairing bolts are prone to going missing, but I'm loathe to tighten them too much as they might crack the fairings themselves.

    Lovely bike @johne and I recall looking at them enviably alongside the RD LC's etc at Squires etc back in the day.
    Power to weight plus the handling will show many modern bikes which is top dog :cool::yum

    One of the most amazing and fun bikes ever to come out of the Honda factory. Alas at 6’ 3” I’m way too tall for one, but if I had that I’d bin the TV and put that in its place. Brilliant

    Not MY non - Triumph, just mine for a week for the tour we did in Gran Canaria last week (https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/a-week-in-gran-canaria.40917/).....a Honda NC750X. It was possibly the least characterful bike I have ever ridden and I don't think I'd go into the garage before I go to bed every day to look at it like I do mine (I know....:rolleyes:) or look back at it when I park it somewhere BUT it was more than enough for the challenging riding that we were doing all week. I didn't have any buffeting at all on the few faster roads we did, the seat and riding position were comfortable for all - day riding and it was a very easy bike to ride - I had the non - DCT model. I could just tiptoe it but it was really stable and well - balanced so it wasn't an issue although I very much had to be aware of where I was stopping.

    I can see why they're becoming really popular first bikes as there are literally no surprises with this bike and it feels very safe and dependable. For my tastes I found it very capable but bland, from the throttle response to the looks. Would I buy one? If I had it as an additional bike solely for a commute and fuel economy and the ability to carry "stuff" was my sole reason to own it, yes. As my only bike for fun - no.

    So with a bit of paranoia creeping in I bought this Chigee TPMS as my RS doesn't have Tyre Pressure Monitoring. I could have added it to the build and probably should have but the BMW one isn't cheap and doesn't work until you reach a certain speed so if you want to check them before you ride you have to do that manually. On my GS it gave you pressures that were "corrected" to what they'd be at 20 degrees c which I could never get my head round which I assumed would be the same on the RS too.

    Anyhoooo. It was easy to fit and shows both tyre pressures in real time. Set up was easy as it's wireless and the control unit has a nice natty magnetic charging cable and it shows current battery status and also notifies you when the sensor batteries get low which are easy to change. If you get a low pressure reading the tyre concerned flashes and you get a warning beep but you'd struggle to hear it on the bike. The nice things are it switches on and off based on vibration so in that respect it's fit and forget and you only have to tap the unit to wake it up so you can check your tyre pressures before going out for a ridecwithout having to mess about with a gauge

    Will you now not need to get the wheels rebalanced @littleade?

    I don't know to be honest. Now doubt I'll find out when I go for a ride tomorrow.

    Being of similar stature myself, imagine my disappointment back in the early 90's when I was tempted by a 6 month old RC30 with very low road miles and got to sit on it only to discover just how shall it was! Arguably the best 750cc sports machine ever made but they're tiny compared to the contemporary litre plus machines I was used to. They were expensive, premium machines back in their day and I was stretching my pockets to buy it and I sometimes wished I'd bought and kept it because good original examples are worth a small fortune now. I seriously doubt I could have lived with it for long though as an only bike.

    Sounds like an adventurous day all around,@johne. :) Glad you had a great ride AND that you made it home safe and sound and figured out the problem.

    MUCH EXCITEMENT :party::party::party:.

    May I present the Blade in its even more lovely form. It is a shame it’s not a sunny day as the red paint has a lovely gold shimmer in it and the black a metallic shimmer too which really makes it look special. The quality of the work is incredible. We have taken some artistic license by using the font from previous blades as I like it better and the tail piece, but other than that I have stayed pretty true to the original look. Just the tank protectors to fit and it’s good to go :cool:.

    :heart_eyes: Very nicely presented indeed. What year/mileage is it? I have a a 2016 Black Edition with just under 10k on the clock and it’s my motorcycling love :cool:
