Fitted the airvest lanyard to the GS (yes I have a Beemer too!). Got a Helite airvest from airvest.co.uk this week, great support and advice from them. Will see if I remember to unclip when I take it out tomorrow to collect & return the Blood Bike I'll be using. DS
I dusted off the Indian Scout Bobber and took it out for a long "around the block" ride. Talk about different handling between the Scout Bobber and the Scrambler XE.
Good question - if it's gone off the rider will bounce if picked up and dropped on the ground. If they're just a fat fecker, you won't be able to pick them up to test this. DS
This may sound a bit silly but I have a passion for these little bikes ever since my son bought a scrapper as a dooer-upper. Had 3 of them up to now and a 4th coming later this week. 2 engines and several other mods came and went It ended up with a 200cc quad engine with reverse gear. My son roed it around North Lancs, South Cumbria for a few months and gave up on it when the ICU developed a broken wire. Fixed and set up it went to a guy in Oldham who only wanted the engine to make a buggy out of.
This one is 12 years old, never been registered, and never been ridden anywhere except round the previous owner's yard. I'm picking it up on Wednesday.
Finished painting the subframe and buffed out the paint so I placed the tank and seat/cowl on and snaped a shot. I have to get the wheels off next and paint them red to match the the subframe.
Allus wanted a CBX, couldn't afford one, so I ended up wit next best thing, CB900FZ, one ot first uns.
