Hope so fella, got a test on the boneville tomorrow then a longer test on the scrambler next week. I'm not sure if possible but I would say on first impressions that it would be good to higher it a bit, especially if I'm taking it off road a bit. It felt good when on the pegs standing. What it lost in power it more than made up with the sound :)

Also I kept reminding myself that this would be a bike to just chill and enjoy the scenery and the odd coffee stop :) different to what I'm used to and had in the past but a good different.

When I parked up and took it back I looked around and smiled to myself as it looked great, stock with the Arrow. I think with a few simple (ish) mods it would look the dogs and keep that smile on my face for a while, which is what it's all about isn't it :)

Now need to calm it down and think of reasons not to spend money!! :(

Might as well wait for the NEC just in case they decide to bring something else to the table. Cant wait!!

Sounds to me like the first thing you need to do is decide what you want it for. Hate to throw a spanner in the works but do you want to chill or do you want to go off road?

Why can't he chill and go off-road?

ha ha. At Griff71, believe me fella the type of off road I intend to do on the scrambler will be a world away from the type I do on the KTM and 2 stroke GG - Gentle gravel tracks for exploring that sort of thing will what the Triumph will be used for. I like to get off the road's as often as I can as there is another world of adventure that just sticking to all road.

I'm sure the Triumph can do that. Especially with a decent set of tyres.

Now I need to see what sort of cost I'm looking at to make a few mods like those in the pics I've posted above. Does anyone know and can recommend anywhere in the UK (don't mind travelling) to someone good that can maybe change the front and rear fenders, short seat that sort of thing without spending a fortune.

    Cheers

More green lanes than off road? I can imagine chilling on a nice scrambler would be cool, but on anything other than smooth Tarmac I would have to defer to others.
Good luck with whatever you get, and whatever you do scramblers do look cool.

Biglad, in my mind chilling and off road are very far apart

Nibby! For a guy who seems to have taken his bike riding a bit further than the average I am surprised at this question! If I can fiddle with this sort of stuff it must be easily within your grasp. Look here for starters

Oh yes! And when you've got it looking pretty get it running pretty! If you're going down that line with pipes, airbox mod, O2 and air injection removal look here.
I have heard rumours that with the new models there won't be a possibility to mod the ecu etc!

Cracking, thanks Crispey for the links.

I'm pretty time poor at the moment with other things which is why I'm looking for someone that can do the basic mods for me, but not for silly money. If I had the time I would love to have a play but no chance of that at the moment.

All my contacts are in the Rally world and they are a bit pushed like myself ATM so would mean waiting until well into the new year.

I tested the T100 today and it's defo 100% the Scrambler for me. Basically it was more fun and put a bigger smile on my face!!
I've got a few options now after speaking to a few people so just need to wait and see if anything new comes out at the NEC and if not will get to work :)
