Did once have a personal plate my initials are MRH. Got so sick of the Multistrada breaking down I sold the bike with the plate.

Don't think I will bother again

Not quite sure how you drew that conclusion from my post? I was on my bike, he was swerving aggressively and indicating I should pull alongside so he could knock me off. Quite how I could "deal with it at the time" is a bit of a mystery as it would involve me forcing his car to a stop with my bike. I think for some strange reason you were offended because I disagreed with you about the reg plate stickers, and so decided to insinuate I was too scared to have a fight as a bit of a dig at me. That's a bit childish. I apologise if I upset you by disagreeing with you, I just genuinely wondered if you had been pulled for it or just assumed you would be. I then shared my experience to give perspective from my point of view.
On the subject of your "far more satisfaction" solution to the situation: If I had managed to "deal with it at the time" by beating the guy to a pulp on the spot as you have suggested, I would probably have been witnessed, possibly filmed on their mobile phone, arrested and would now be languishing at her majesty's pleasure for GBH. How would that be a better way of dealing with it or any more satisfying?? ;)

TR45UMP has already gone. That'd be worth a few bob now.
I'm surprised at how many UF0- --- plates are available at low-ish prices. I would have thought they'd b very popular.

I so dislike traffic cops, what a waste of police time hassling law abiding motorists. If ANPR gives it all clear and no drugs markers, etc on the vehicle, piss off and leave it alone.

Got stopped other night for a headlight bulb out, then went checking out my tyres etc, piss off and do something useful like stop criminals.

I so detest Traffic Police, and don't start me on unmarked cars !!!!

A few years back I was waiting to turn right on to the main road at a crossroads next to my mate's pub, 10pm-ish (not out of the pub car park, but from the side road), in a bit of a banger looking Rover 216. Traffic police passed going south, I pulled out right on to the bendy road, using engine braking on most bends. Shortly afterwards there were headlights virtually in my back seat and blue light pulled me over just after an engine-braked 90 degree left hander in a 30mph area.

At no time did I cross the white lines or exceed the speed limit. As I was being breathalysed (one pint of IPA so knew I was in the clear) I pointed out that a) there was no just cause to pull me over, b) they had to have cut the bends in excess of the speed limit to have caught me, and c) driving so close to my rear was intimidating and dangerous, especially had I been an inexperienced or nervous driver. Of course they then proceeded to check every visible part of the car and much to their chagrin the old banger had fresh tyres, recent MOT, in-date tax etc.
