Sprint Using ecu tune

Looking at the workshop manual for yours the triumph tool resets the IACV/Idle control valve and re-teaches the ECU where closed throttle is....Whereas on mine you have to get the TPS set at a certain value....
Read the table bottom right....

 

Does anyone know if I can use Tune ECU on the latest 2016 R Speed Triple?

 

I did read that the latest model ECU's were going to be locked, hopefully it was a bit of scaremongery in the early days to get new bonnie/thruxton owners to buy Triumph exclusive parts

 

That was my worry, I heard they had locked the 2013 models but this turned out to be misinformation
The 2016 R+S Speed Triples are not listed on the Tune ECU compatibility list so I may have to wait until they get round to it, should the ECU be unlocked
