Obvious isn't it ? If you don't live in the U.S. you don't have a say.

I wonder what the world would look like if everyone shared that view; if the world's citizens, governments, institutions, international alliances and other bodies/authorities were unable to offer an opinion on anything outside of their immediate geography or jurisdiction. What do you think.. would it be a better place, a safer place, than it is now?

WASHINGTON - When convicted murderer Orlando Hall was executed at a federal prison complex in Indiana on Nov. 19, it marked the first time in more than a century that a federal execution was carried out in the remaining months of an outgoing U.S. president’s term following an election.

But this will not be the only execution during the final weeks of President Donald Trump's term. Five other federal inmates condemned to death, including the only woman currently on the federal death row, are scheduled to be executed over the next two months. The last is slated to take place just five days before Trump leaves office on January 20.

The last post-election federal execution took place in 1889 during the final months of Grover Cleveland’s first presidency, according to the Death Penalty Information Center. Traditionally, outgoing presidents have left final pending decisions on executions to their successors.

@learningtofly was linking to this cos it involved Trump, and his normal deviation from the norm and compared to other Presidents in recent history, his killing spree as an out going office holder, that's relevant for this thread init?

I think that those who oppose the Death penalty are mainly moral cowards. They fear upsetting their consciences by being in favour of people being executed for heinous crimes against innocent people, and would rather that 99 horrendous animals are set free (possibly to kill again) rather than risk a stain on their lily white conscience should one innocent man be caught up in the net. I find it sickening that people expend so much effort in defending degenerates when they could be putting that energy towards helping those who genuinely deserve help. Easier to decriminalise everything and let people do whatever the hell they want rather than having to make decisions on where to draw the lines.... Moral entropy.

Of course criminals are exciting to some as well and victims are, well, considered to be pathetic and to have only themselves to blame and, of course maybe the victims were 'White privileged' or Republican and so deserve all they got.

Ditto that. I’m not religious, but the Christians got it right an eye for an eye. If you do the crime you should pay the ultimate price. It would save the tax payers (us) a fortune.

Easy, tiger. Probably worth pointing out that 60% of Americans are “moral cowards”, then.

As a matter of interest do you think that your opinion, and the manner in which you expressed it, could be described as extreme?
