Assuming tubeless and no tubes involved.
Pull wheel out in rainy season I.e. now
Bead breaker tyre WITHOUT removing off rim.
Slice off inside of old valve neck. Pull in new (angled or straight as you prefer about £3 each) with a bit of soap.
Soap tyre beads, blow up, job done.

Have straight and angled bits in the garage and took longer to type this than do the job on loose wheel.

    Thanks @Eldon that's a plan.

Out of interest, where do you guys get your valves/tyre spares from?

You’ve got to wonder why someone has put a tube valve, and therefore most likely a tube, in a tubeless tyre. Take the wheel out and take it along to someone who fits motorcycle tyres, tubes in a tubeless tyre is a big no no.

I have to agree.....a threaded valve stem bolted up to the rim shrieks ‘TUBE!’ That is such an unorthodox way to repair a puncture (unless you were in the back of beyond) I would be carefully checking the tyre carcass AND rim. It may be nothing at all but the rim holes for tubes and tubeless are not even the same size.

Good point, that rim will be scrap if that hole has been enlarged to fit a tube valve.
