Thanks. Defo needed one imo. Was worth sacrificing the 2 damaged panels to make it. Let's see how the electrics go...

    Bit of a progress update...

Bikes picked and gone to my mates so I can actually work on it under cover.

Paint works off and should be back soon.

Got the CRK carb kit which needs to be fitted.

Help * where can I actually find a gasket kit for my model * anyone use anyone specific or can recommend anywhere..?

    Bike progress.

Exhausts back off, casings etc off to soda blasters. Going to tidy the engine next and start hiding the wiring. That seems fairly straight forward at the min so we shall see.

Still waiting on the fresh paint...

Anyone used a decent engine paint before that doesn't just flake off. Engine isn't being removed at this stage. Seems a fair few about but recommendations are always better.

Gaskets located and on way so hopefully as its been a while, progress will kick in and the bike should hopefully be up and running swiftly...

Collected my parts from Midlands Vapour Blasting.

Can't recommend Tom enough. Absolutely top bloke. These parts looked like they'd been at the bottom of the ocean for 6 years so ultra impressed with the result.

Going to powder coat them black as I think it'll make the paint work pop. Getting closer to the finish tho

Got all the gaskets sorted and various seals so engines ready to be sorted next.

Casings are off at powder coat so that'll wait for now. Got to do a bit of tlc on the engine frontage then the rebuild can commence....

    Paints collected, preview

Right top day today progress wise due to my top mate giving me a chuck...

Managed to get the casings and rocker cover back on with fresh gaskets.

The engine was thoroughly cleaned and prepped and got some fresh paint.

Exhaust, oil cooler and radiator went back on and we managed to put the belly pan together and fit that also.

Finish off with a trial fit of the tank to see where the wiring is going to be rooted and jobs a good un.

    Loving the colour choices.

    Getting there. :cool::)

    Taking shape......

Electrics are pretty much sorted too. Mates had a fiddle and the looms turned out to be not that troublesome after all...

Trip to triumph tomorrow to get oil and coolant so hopefully it'll be running soon.

Do these clocks have temperature gauge ? Just bought Koso round chrome one to find my version doesn`t have a Rev counter. Your one looks very neat and unobtrusive. Easy to wire in ?

The one I got does various things. From memory I thing the plugs etc were attached so it was straight forward.
I used the cable to keep it simple. Works fine. Mi es got the rev counter and usual speedo etc. Think it can be programmed for gear shift and all that stuff. I kept it basic as poss in fairness. I'll try find which model I got...
