So a while back wrote to the myroute app lot as there was no longer a way to transfer routes planned on the pc to your mobile, sygic and another, can't remember who, used to support it which worked fine, when they stopped supporting MRA, I wrote and MRA said it was sygic not MRA that was to blame so there was nothing they could do.
Had a go at them again about not being able to use planned routes created on the pc on a mobile , even tho they appeared in my routes on the mobile app.
Well the reply came back........you can now use MRA on your mobile by downloading this https://navigation.myrouteapp.com/en. bastards!!

    @Eastbournemark

Might find useful info in this thread?

If not, or can't be arsed to trawl (don't blame you), what is it you are trying to do , and maybe we can help!

If you are trying to plot a route on myroute.app then send to your sat-nav, here's how I do it. This is just a quick tutorial, ask if you need further help / explanation.

    Go onto myroute.app

    upload_2018-6-1_16-14-6.png

    CLICK on + New Route
Then OK on the pop up box (you can change name as you want)
Then put the cross on where you want to start and left click, then click OK
    upload_2018-6-1_16-16-17.png

Then repeat at your next stop, if you are happy with the route, thats you done.
    upload_2018-6-1_16-17-23.png

You can add as many points as you like, to get the exact route you require. As you are working on the route, it is being automatically saved onto your profile. If you go onto My Routes, you will see your route has been saved.
    upload_2018-6-1_16-20-41.png

You can then alter it or then download it to your sat-nav.

2 ways to do this, either save as, then move across to your sat-nav, which needs to be plugged in to your PC, or use the export funtion.
    upload_2018-6-1_16-22-35.png

Save as is dead easy, much like moving any file across. The export function requires the download of a piece of software, but takes minute to download and run, I have just learnt this wee trick and use it instead of save as function now. TBH, think I tried at first but didn't run, but does now!!!

Then across to your sat-nav and either import or just find. I use a Garmin, so unsure how to on a TT, but AndyC1 should be able to help.

If you want the GMU rideouts, make friends with me or Ade from the forum group, and you can simply go into our routes and pinch them. They will appear on the forum group page at some point.

That's me loaded 5 days worth of routes into my Garmin. As near as damn it to 1000 miles of two wheel, never getting lost, fun.

Really like the export function, so easy compared to copy and paste the files over. L

I have a Garmin 340L using My Route App, but still get the straight line routes, having to convert Tracks to sort it out, does anyone else have this problem?

also just applied to join the group on the app.

I have the Garmen 390LM and I've been using the myroute-app for a couple of years with no problems. The first time I experienced the straight line problem was after making up all the routes for the Scottish Road Trip that I organized in May,i only realized when I was on the tour and I didn't know to solve the problem you had to convert to track, luckily I knew all the roads anyway so it wasn't a problem, but I would have been really pi**ed off if it had happened somewhere I'd never been before.
the straight lines doesn't happen every time I make a route up, but I've noticed that sometimes even when it has came up as straight lines the route actually works:confused:

    I've approved you today.

I use the skip function, that cures the straight line problem for me, usually..

You can delete a waypoint and it re calculates the route.
Just put 2 waypoints close together at the start of the route then delete one.

MyRoute-App export to TomTom MyDrive account works a treat. They say Beta but it has worked for me every time. Then using the new TomTom Rider 500/500, it wirelessly picks up that route automatically without you having to do anything or connect to PC - simples.

Hi mount for GPS on Gen 3 Tiger 1200. Rectifies a glaring mistake by Triumph on a touring bike. Not perfect and you need to pad underneath the binnacle to stop the shake but it works for smaller Sat Navs.e.g. TomTom Rider 500/550.

JFYI - there is a section in this month's RiDE mag specifically targeted at smart phone nav apps. I think there's only a couple that support GPX routes.

I have used Sygic on my phone for a year or so as it supports up to 48 waypoints and takes the route directly from MyRoute-App. It has proved problematic with routes with a lot of waypoints, miss one and your screwed, it doesn’t have the sense to know you have passed a waypoint and are heading for the next one. If you close the route and reopen it it also tries to send you back to the start even if it is 100’s of miles away. I persevered for more than a year, gave up, bought a Rider 550 and it is so much less hassle, I’ll never go back to phone Navigation again for anything more than a simple A to B route.

Ahha!!! What a coincidence that has been my bugbear with sygic but on this years gmu I discovered all the answers, something right came out of the gmu at least.
1, no route planner is intelligent enough to know you meant to miss a waypoint, it’s an important mark on your route, well it could be a petroleum stop, meeting place, after all it’s only a machine!
With sygic once you’ve missed a waypoint and want to travel on, put the map in 2d and zoom out or in to find the offending waypoint, tap on it and it’ll bring a little cross on it, tap the cross and it’s gone!
The next bit is pretty complicated but there is a way!! And I’ll work it out!

Yes, this is exactly what I have done before but stopping and deleting the waypoint is a bit of an arse, especially when others in a group are hanging on you! But if I use the same route from MyRoute-app and send to my "proper" Sat Nav it does seem to understand you have by-passed the waypoint and the next one is the one to navigate too. When I have inadvertently closed Sygic and restarted it I have ended up deleting 15 waypoints to start navigating part route from where I am - life's too short. o_O
