That's better. Just waiting on a new cover gasket. Had to give the cable clamp a fettle with a file, some of the edges were quite sharp.

WTF! Who do I have to blow to catch a break?? Just got home from work and notice this as I'm locking up.

Did you use any silicone RTV on the cable grommet?

The annoying thing is, that seemed like the one place it wouldn't get by! No, I didn't ☹

Its a regular leak point and my 675 has done it previously there.
Add rtv, silicone etc and lesson learnt ;)

I had failed to observe that the grommet wasn't seated correctly. This morning I have managed to tease it into the cutout properly Ride out to fill the tank, ready for work next week.

Hi Dave, thanks for your post ref the taught throttle cable. My Street Twin 2017, 3000 mls refuses to start and it could be down to a taught loom as a result of 20mm bar raisers.
It is a touch exotic for my skills but unable to find a mobile bike mech in Northumberland and I live in fear of the local Triumph dealer.

Dave, humble pie time! On Boxing day I drove to a petrol station to put some diesel in my daughters car. Thought I would save another trip to top up the Triumph and filled a can with E5. Next day set of and it stopped after a few metres. I did find a mobile Mechanic- Mike from Super Fast Bikes in Darlington. Can't recommend him highly enough, fantastic logical diagnostic thinker.
Turned out despite believing otherwise I had tipped 5 litres of diesel into the tank.
Running now and very keen to give it a blast.
