    Glad you found that cat, @Markus. ;):joy: Thanks for your positive comments. The Arizona skies continually amaze me. They are like a painting that's continually evolving--but the real thing is better than any painting of the Arizona skies that I've seen

    Sandi it was great to see all of you this past week, and Ek! And our ride to Tombstone last year was very memorable!

    The weather was certainly cold in northern Arizona this time, but at least we were able to ride down and back, vs. using the trailer. My Speed Triple has morphed into a light sport-touring bike, and is surprisingly comfortable for the long haul. The only thing it needs is a little more wind protection to fend off the cold, so I ordered a small windscreen. Maybe someday soon I'll get something that resembles a sofa on two wheels (Harley - or something).

    A big thanks to yourself, Steve, Russ, and Ek for spending some time with us. Always a pleasure!

    @Marco Wikstrom

    It was so great to see you and Mo, too, Marco! We'll have to get back down to Tombstone (and Bisbee) when you two ride back to Tucson next time. :)

    Glad you got to ride to Tucson and back from Albuquerque instead of trailering this time. Steve and I love that route and have ridden it many times. I'm also glad you got a windscreen ordered up. Even a small windscreen makes a big difference. I still can't quite imagine touring on my Speed Triple and will stick with my "sofa on two wheels" Harley Street Glide. :) I did finally remember the windscreen I got for my Speed Triple. Power Bronze is the brand and I believe it's a UK company. I could have just looked on my Speed Triple but, as you know, it's got a cover on it in the back yard and I didn't want to go to the trouble to take the cover off until I ride it this weekend. :joy::joy::joy: Can you say "LAZY"!? Which one did you order?

    We thoroughly enjoyed riding with and spending time with you and Mo. As you said, always a pleasure. Perhaps we'll see you guys in New Mexico this summer when we're there (hopefully) on our bikes. Have fun on your big Chile bike tour in January!

    Thanks Sandi. I've only owned a few actual "touring" motorcycles (two BMW RT's, an early Goldwing back when they were naked bikes, and a Ducati ST4S), and tend to just use what I have - I've even toured on a Ducati Super Sport and an 1100 Ninja when I was younger. It's a state of mind. Any bike can be used when you put your mind to it.

    I ordered a Puig windscreen, which is about twice as big as the Triumph fly screen that's on the bike now. Just enough. I really don't like anything larger because they tend to cause a lot of buffeting - rather go without than put up with the buffeting. Of course most of the big heavy touring bikes are better sorted in terms of protection, but definitely not as fun to ride.
