Nice shot @OldNick nice and peaceful, my favourite way to fish is with a Rod in one hand and a Frying pan in the other :D

Well done on getting your PB carp they’re hard fighting buggers aren’t they:(
And yes the rod is an old Allcock Wizard from the late forties/early fifties, made when things were made to last:)

Sorry David. Told I am a heathen (does not believe in any widely practiced religion). I'm not - I'm agnostic - don't countenance the possibility of any all seeing god. On a more positive note, I do believe that Haselbury Plucknett is the centre of the universe. Have you noticed that this forum SW uses American corrections for spelling?

That's awesome mate, It's from the same bloke that did the Tommy statue in Seaham, I'm an ex miner that worked at South Hetton, Murton, and Vane Tempest collieries, and I think Horden Colliery at one time was the biggest of them all employing over six thousand miners in it's hey day, it's so sad to see what has happened in Horden now, It's a crying shame that the decent people there have to put up with the inbred smackhead scum that have took over areas like the numbered street's such as First Street and upwards.

After the pits closed I worked for a Social housing contractor for twenty years, we worked anywhere from Carlisle across to Whitby and up to Berwick upon Tweed, and I think the worst places we had to go were nearer home, and that was Hartlepool and Horden, these are the photos I had to take for Health and Safety from a kitchen in a property in Horden,.
