Here are some cool positively awesome photos from my last several morning walks. This first one is an honest-to-goodness roadrunner. No coyotes to be seen, though.

 

The saguaro cacti are going crazy with blooms this year. Here are couple of photos from my morning walks the past several days.

 

I caught a glimpse of this horse and rider just in time to snap this pic. It's not unusual to see horses in the "wash" (river) and there are quite a number of horses in the neighborhood even though I live smack in the middle of a city.

 

I once was admiring a beautiful, very large butterfly floating through my campsite in the Texas Hill Country when it was suddenly made lunch by a roadrunner that came seemingly out of nowhere. Sad but funny as well. RR's gotta eat!

 

Yep, they really are fast! But they don't actually say, "Meep, meep" (as I'm sure you know @JtC).

 

Road runners DONT Meep Meep...........Thats just childhood shattering news,ruined my day!

 

S-u-r-e they do, DD. Whatever you say.....

 

And coyotes can survive roadrunners dropping anvils on their heads, too.

Sometimes you may hear someone say Ki Yote but that's not really how most everyone says it.
