    Might be a Sparrowhawk but I don't think that's a sparrow.

I love steam trains. I remember travelling on them as a youngster, the smell and noise was infectious and remains with me to this day...

This looks like the spiral staircase in the Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, @Vulpes! Is that correct??

Ahhh, I thought this was the spiral staircase in the Loretto Chapel, @Vulpes! And I should hope I'd recognize it because Mr. Sandi and I got married there in the summer of 2015. ;)

Five of us rode our motorcycles there from Tucson turned our wedding celebration into a motorcycle trip. The wedding was small--just 22 of us--and we chose Santa Fe partly because we love it and we also love the Loretto Chapel and the story behind the staircase. But we also chose Santa Fe so those friends and family who made the trip to our wedding would be able to spend some time in a cool town and beautiful place and turn it into a bit of a vacation for themselves. :)

So, because "without photos it didn't happen", here are a few.

Here we are on the famous spiral staircase in the Loretto Chapel. They only let people on the staircase for wedding photos and special things but people who are touring the chapel during the week aren't allowed to climb it. So we felt honored!

Our photographer (part of the ganga wedding package deal) thought it was great fun that we rode our motorcycles to our wedding. That was a first for her. She asked if we could bring the bikes 'round after the ceremony so she could shoot some pics of us on them in front of the church. So I swapped out my heels for boots and here we are. :grinning::cool:

This is the crew that rode to Santa Fe. The wife of Mike, the guy on the far left, didn't want to ride pillion so she drove their truck. That turned out to be quite handy because we could put out nice clothes in the truck rather than in the saddlebags. She also stocked a nice cooler full of water and sodas in the back. And in the spirit of "positive awesomeness", this shot was taken after riding down through and back up out the Salt River Canyon which is positively awesome!

And finally, no "biker wedding" would be complete without customized M & M's sprinkled on the tables at the reception. ;) I did this as a surprise for Mr. Sandi. It was good that there was an air-conditioned pickup truck (and cooler) to transport them because they'd have melted in my saddlebags on the ride to Santa Fe for sure! :joy:
