Oxter was always an Oxter, couldn't tell where that comes from,
wallies as in wally dugs, the dogs at the side of a fire place, wally being pot, which old false teeth were made from.
Piece of bread, simples. Jelly piece is a jam sandwich, no butter, unless you were posh.
    :D

We are an ancient and proud People, our customs and traditions are many and complicated, thus we ensure our continued mystic and so allure, therefore prosperity.
What I would like to know is, when did the rest of the world begin to speak English more fluently than the English themselves DD?

I went to the opticians today.
I was diagnosed as being colour blind.
I must confess, it came like a
    bolt out of the green.

The most accurately pronounced English language is spoken in........ The black Isle. Just north of Inverness!!!
The speak closest of any accent to the Oxford English Dictionary.
