Wonderful saying, horrible way to find out you were adopted.

 

My girlfriend’s dog died, so I tried to cheer her up by getting her an identical one.

It just made her more upset. She screamed at me, “What am I supposed to do with two dead dogs?”

Sat in a cafe yesterday and saw this next to me. Curiosity got the better of me so I had to check the label

 

Before I retired I used to work with a guy who could have some real tantrums. He could be on the phone to someone in another office (being difficult and obtuse with them) then he'd suddenly slam the phone down and storm off to see the person face to face shouting "I'll teach 'em not to put the phone down on me".
Then one day he told me that when he was seven his parents got divorced. Unfortunately neither of them wanted him so he was put up for adoption.
I'm sure that traumatic event in his childhood and his behaviour in adult life must have been linked.

 

Or he was just some short tempered twat who happened to have been adopted as a child

 

And why doesn't that surprise me Steve ?????
