    Yep, I'm with ya, @Fork Lock. The other thing we've seen happen in Tucson is that there are just plain far fewer officers out on the roads. So people just start speeding wildly (and I do mean wildly), driving very aggressively, running lights, etc. because the possibility of even seeing a cop at all on the roads is so small. There is one suburb of Tucson (Oro Valley) that we ride in and through regularly and that town seems to have more traffic cops. Consequently, there are far fewer violations that I've observed when we're in that part of the metro area. It's like the naughty kids at school--if the teacher walks over near them, they tend to shape up. As a school psychologist, the term we use is "proximity". Easy-peasy and it works nearly every time without saying a word. Well, sometimes you also have to give a kid "the look". ;):joy:
