Some puts a post, I reply quoting that post, in reference to the post I have quoted. Not in reference to posts two or three times removed from the post I quoted.
I do not know what the original ‘joke’ that has been deleted before I got to see what it was nor do I know who specifically deleted it , but the empirical evidence is that it got lots of people’s’ panties in a bunch and was rightly or wrongly deleted as a result.

There are a large number of woke hypocrites on this forum - yet you seem convinced that the woke agenda came from elsewhere - perhaps you could clarify this and provide evidence to corroborate your statement?

I put the word woke in quotation marks because its the language you used to describe the party that complained about the joke in question... I wasn't calling anybody woke, you did. Actually, you called the party "woke snowflake" I just quoted you. I was merely pointing out that the party you referred to did not come from this forum.
    Sorry for the confusion.

Yeah, not much good if the ham and the sandwich are 3 1/2 miles apart. But then, if the ham is miles away, can the sandwich truly be a sandwich? We're straying into the realms of philosophy here...

Agree, the ratio of bread to ham is not to my taste ( see what I did there).

Yes, but is it still a sandwich?!?

Hoping the conversations here will all now focus on the topic of sandwich related philosophy and not on the more complex and emotive issue of whence the offending woke comments came. :joy:

Yes, I think the other conversation had run its course. Possibly the sign refers to a cheese sandwich, and there is an implied suggestion of a cheese and ham toastie if the ingredients can be brought togetther. With mustard, of course.

I agree. Dijon is for hot dogs.

I always thought the topic of sandwiches were often under appreciated. It was the forth book in the Hitchhikers Guide Trilogy that raised my awareness to the importance of sandwich crafting skills, from the selection of carving knife to the whippiness of the butter spreading knife. The texture of bread to the curing and salting of the perfectly normal beast meat.

No confusion on my part, but maybe on yours. the only people I have quoted is in regards to THEIR posts and actions on THIS forum. Not on any other. I didn’t see the joke you are referring to and therefore didn’t describe anyone’s direct response it, only alluding to the fallout after that stage. I can only suppose that you are busy sticking your tongue up the arse of people you are trying to impress by involving yourself, while getting it completely wrong. Well done.
