I was just answering someone's point with the relevant figures. Not sure why this would upset anybody, but I know some folk are easily offended.

 

So if the Tory's got 43.6%
Labour got ?
Lib-Dem got ?
Greens got ?

 

Typical Labour, so deluded they think they won, when they clearly lost... and won't LET IT GO!

 

I would never strike a woman, but a couple could have used fisticuffs

 

Bad loser? Not a loser at all, Jez: the party I voted for won 48 of Scotland's 59 seats!

 

How quickly we forget. In Feb 1974 after all the woes of the miners’ strikes and three day week Harold Wilson defeated Ted Heath with a smaller popular vote but more seats.

 

So I take it we are all agreed: FPTP delivers results that don't reflect the voting figures. Time for a change of voting system perhaps?

 

Getting tired of politics...

 

I am deeply tired of politicians more than politics. In terms of how well they have handled the pandemic we see Westminster Tories, Holyrood Nats and Welsh Labour fighting over the Comb of Honour like bald men.

 

I agree that minority governments and coalitions have their problems, littleade, but they are what many countries manage quite well with, and they can probably do less harm. Wouldn't it be better than having a majority government that most people don't want?

 

If that's Alex Salmond, I think he should definitely be forgot!

 

Er, we had a referendum on PR in 2011. Once in a lifetime and all that.....
