Sadly Gary Sam lives on a hill, now he's facing the correct way down, but if it doesn't start before the bottom he'll never get the buggar back to his door, and alas Dan's house is to far away to get there free wheeling.
    Its never easy :p:p

You both live within the same weather and the cold hit last week to to minus and frost. Too much of a coincidence, eh?

It doesn't even begins to describe it.
We met once we passed the licence, riding the name bike named identically. We realised we passed the diding test at the same time, in 2 different schools, but with the same instructor. We both had accidents roughly at the same time, the 2 of us got our bikes written off, and got another one, different model but the two of us chose the same one. We were using the same viewing glasses, the same helmet, and son on... and I'm sure I'm forgetting stuff. Strange doesn't even begins to describe it.

My back courtyard is frozen, Trying to push start the bike will be close to impossible at the moment.

It was my first idea, albeit with limited technical knowledge. Although outside, my bike is quite well protected. I would be suprised spark plugs or fuses would breakdown 'just like that'.

Never underestimate the British weather mate :(
Frost then damp repeatedly getting in every nook and cranny can easily upset a bikes electrics especially when so many parts on these bikes rely on the next component in the system being in top condition
As has been said mate the battery is the place to start :p
It has to have at least 12.6volts in it otherwise the ECU won't play ball

I’m sure a Frenchman once said that!

    Ok. So we know that

    Dilligaf - JD = Start
Dilligaf + JD = No Start

If we add them together that means

    2Dilligaf + JD - JD = Start + No Start

    Or

    2Dilligaf + 0 = 0

    Or Dilligaf = 0/2

    Or Dilligaf = 0

What you seem to be saying is:- DILLIGAF = d
    Jack Daniels = jd
    bike = b
    start = s

    so
    d + b = s
    equally
    d + b + jd = s
    so if d + b + jd = +s ( where + = more than start)
    then to balance d + b +jd , should = - s ( where - = less than start) .

But what is more than start, what is less than start?
Bearing in mind less than start is not 0 ( inactive passive) it is minus.
then if you look at + s what is more than start?

I find +s to = action + by product ( for instance, noise.)
    and -s to = reaction ( restoration )
if the by product is continual then this forces a change in the atmosphere or reaction equal to the action and bearing in mind the energy required by d to produce +s or an unnatural state, then this would signify an outside force, or X, .factor, this is further signified by repeated attempts to repeat the initial experiment failing.
Perhaps someone could venture a response to X = ?

    Its simple, X is equal to - start, where d + jd +b = +s
    What is X?

    It's okay Dili'

I never hid the fact I barely ride in November / December / January.
It's those 3 months in the year, where an occasional breakdown is not a 'need to fix asap' one . :p I'll have a couple of checks when I can, but there's no rush.

I would be fun. It would mean :
    A. It's nothing.
    B. I guessed it first.

    Nothing.

As I don't ride from mid november / december to [Insert desirable month here], I decided to do nothing. Shall I fix the battery issue, it will simply reproduce in a few weeks. I'll fix it in february / march and will resume the season here. Anyways, as I strongly suspect an air intake issue (minor but still present since I wrapped my pipes) and I need to change my grips, I'll have a got at it all together later in the winter.

Anyways, the city council decided that the east end of Glasgow was barely worth it when it comes to salting the roads, so my whole neighborhood is one giant plaque of ice.
