    A tent in AZ might be less than ideal in the summer. At least get a van so you're above the rattlesnakes. ;)

    We have lots of microbreweries in the Denver/Boulder area, and it seems that all of them come with patios and are dog friendly. But I have yet to see a moto themed one here. That one looks fun. Maybe opening something like that in Moab will be my retirement plan. :D

    You are absolutely correct about a tent in AZ in the summer, @ColoradoManny. And "less than ideal" is a nice way to phrase it. ;) Yes, I've heard there are tons of microbreweries in the Denver/Boulder area--Colorado in general. It's nice that so many more places are dog friendly, too. I think your Moab retirement plan sounds terrific and Mr. Sandi and I will be sure to swing by on our motorcycles when you have it up and running! :cool::)

    Thanks for that warning. Nearly got killed by a simple adder here in the UK they said it was because i had no immunity at all against the simplest little bite.

    "Simple adder" - is that an oxymoron like "military intelligence" and "social distance"? Anything with poison feels at least moderately complex to me....

    No it's a harmless snake here in the UK that gives most people a little rash. But as I came from Ireland and we don't have snakes I had no resistance at all and went into a coma. They recon I must have sat on it to get bit. But it could only happen to me. Now I am even scared of slowworms.

    Wow, Joe, what a bummer on the coma from the adder! :eek::( I can't imagine living someplace with no snakes. That said, even here in the Sonoran Desert, we just don't see that many snakes in the course of a year. Not none, but few. And we sorta know where to look for them and when. What are slowworms??

    Remember what you said earlier about the bacon butties. Well this is not as bad. Best i can do is they are a very long worm or miniature snake that can go as fast as my bike very harmless. Perhaps someone can help me out with a better explanation.

    I was just going to suggest that it would be good to have a forum to encourage everyone to post their touring stories and pictures. Then I realised there already is one! Resolution for next year - post more stuff in there.

    Yikes! Not my kind of riding weather, @steve lovatt. In fact, not my kind of weather at all. Let me know if Mr. Sandi and I can shepherd you around southern Arizona on the bikes this winter under blue skies and on dry roads. I do think our overnight low temperature tonight, however, is predicted to be mid-30ºs F. Mr. Sandi wrapped our outdoor water pipes just in case. I rode this afternoon for an hour and it was a very pleasant 62º F and sunny. :cool::sun:
