No worries. We have both the Union and the NZ Flag hanging at our house. The Admin Staff is a Kiwi from the Bay of Plenty.

:) Great stuff ! Hey, caught on radio that the family is missing the esteemed Andrew .. apparently he's isolating because of the lurgy ... hahaha, best excuse around, eh ?:sweat: ... Back to reality, how the hell can you do a bike so quick ? You make me feel like a sloth ..

The next time I need to get my creative juices flowing, @Iron, I will try to remember to have some crisps, a Friday sandwich, and some tea. Sounds like that did the trick for you. ;) Or maybe it was the cat. :joy: That angle won’t work for me since we only have a dog. Glad you got everything sorted. That bike is looking sweet!

Aha, a Friday fried egg sandwich, great idea. Always ask the dog, they are cleverer than cats. Especially:) our one

Oops! Gotta love typos. I wonder if a Friday fried egg sandwich is different than a Tuesday fried egg sandwich? Perhaps a little experiment is in order. Yes, dogs are quite clever. Cats probably are just as clever...but they'd never let you know it. ;):joy:

I was going to order an electronic speedo but pulled the rubber covers off of the originals, made up a mount and fitted. Looks not bad, a bit 59er, but maybe could do with a 5 and three quarters bates rather than the 4 and a half one that's on it.

    2.jpg

Note the nice new Z900 master cylinder copy and the cat waiting at the door to tell me what he thinks.

    1.jpg

Saves poncing about with the wiring just use the cable drives (especially with no bulbs in the clocks - no point as I'm not allowed out after dark). They need a dab of paint but sorted. Thankyou, welcome....over....:no_mouth:....

Mincing about waiting for deliveries (a bit inconsiderate having a 4 day bank holiday - who does she think she is?) and delaying the electrics start.

    Screenshot 2022-06-06 180142.jpg

So, I've been polishing stuff. Got rid of the cast in "BRAKE FLUID" on the lid of the master cylinder and the black paint

    1.jpg

    Gave it a polish

    2.jpg

Along with the clocks too. Although these are steel so may need a paint in the future. Where's that post man, hermes, dpd etc :)

Oh tired (number 4933 in the Roud Folk Song Index) ......I've connected two wires and all I'm doing is putting vintage lounge cafe music on and kollopsing in a coma on the plastic garden chair in the garage

    2.jpg

Took me ages just to figure out the wires on the ignition switch. I'm like a tortoise in marmalade. The wiring diagram does help though as I don't need to keep everything in my miniscule brain capacity.

    1.jpg

    Yawn.........thankyou, welcome......over

Best thing I ever built had an ARD magneto and a Sebring power unit .. wires from the alternator into the unit, one to the switch, thence to the headlight and down to the tailight ... bliss !

New larger bates came. Which looks better I think. But I needed to make a new bracket as it was pressing the cable drives too much - I knew this as the new Venhill one broke at the join - bugger.

    1.jpg

So, cleaned up an old speedo drive and put that one on. The new bracket with the new spirit bell - just a plain one this time.

    3.jpg

Then back to the - yawn - wiring. A new one of these saves trying to get under a bolted down seat to charge the battery.

    2.jpg

And an oil pressure warning light wired into the headlamp shell. I used to put them in place of the main beam indicator but these ones are actually wired up with a bulb to work. So a new hole required.

    4.jpg

    .....thank you, welcome and over......

Thanks, I didn't paint the tank but liked the colour when I bought it but have touched up a few places where I unfortunately and clumsily bashed it a few times - metallic Rover British Racing Green is a perfect match. :)
The tank caps are all hand painted by me when I feel like doing some art - which isn't often these days

Brilliant, assumably you are part of Bob Ross Studios. Hard to pick, but the rust is paintwork too ? I think I feel a little artistic license growing, could be a good way to hide the genuine spots on some rims .. hmmm ?

Sorry, nothing is for sale  so no PM I'm afraid. Everything is painted - even the rust. These helmets were all brand new.
