Or you could argue that he is a doctor with the long term interest of his patients as his motive. It is easy to label him an anti-vaxxer conspiracy theorist, but the more intelligent and safer approach would be to prove him wrong with with scientific evidence. If his concerns had been unequivocally proved wrong, he would either have to publicly accept he is wrong, or no longer be practicing medicine, and would most likely be sued... but he is still practicing, and still gets to present his case to commitees as demonstrated in that video from this year.

I am not a supporter of Dr Palevsky, and neither do I know if Dr Palevsky's point of view is valid or not, and unless he is proved wrong neither does anyone else

Personally I'll soon be ripe for the Stalin vaccine, if it makes it possible for me to see my grandkids again.

yes it’s hardly a revelation. You often get a mild flue after a flu jab.

Got to hand it to the Germans; they are not backwards in coming forwards. They have this virus nailed

Perhaps @Winglad could explain that to us ?
Although it is obvious from the signs.

It’s a German Health Ministry sign saying it’s particularly important whether in spring or winter to:

    Always wear a mask
    Maintain distance
    Carry the app
    Ventilate

    Protect yourself and others.

    Andy, I cannot...
(If you are asking why we have ‚nailed‘ the virus down.)
The sign unfortunately is a forgery. I would love a campaign like this. But if it is a cliché that the Germans have no humor, our ministry of health definitely has none. Their real formula is AHA (Distancing, hygiene, mask).

About the death-toll: there might be several factors in the game: Hospital hygiene is on a pretty good standard, albeit not close to perfect; our folks are very obedient and disciplined (is this a good thing?).
So for example, in February almost EVERYBODY stopped shaking hands as if on command. If you walk into a shop and forgot your mask, people will yell at you. People are reporting others to the police if they have an illegal party on their private property. Shops who serve customers during lockdown will be fined drastically.

I will not offer my personal opinion on this. Sorry.

Right now, after months of lockdowns and short intervals of reopening, we are one aggressive bunch of nerved wrecks...
And there is no end to this in sight.
In summing this up, I’d say survival is no fun at all. I haven’t seen friends or relatives for weeks.
Don’t want to know the actual suicide rate. But they will not publish it anyway.

    Cheers

You’ve spoiled the joke because nobody checked its provenance......!

The lockdown is no joke however and this ‘kur’ (what we would call treatment in English) is now worse than the disease. Strange and sinister to have such levels of coordination across the Continent.

Meanwhile for those of you champing at the bit to get stabbed this might be worth 7 minutes listening

Essentially concerned and highly qualified people using expressions like ‘criminal negligence ‘ in the context of minimal and skipped testing. The UK population is basically being offered up for Phase 3 and 4 testing......and explains the Swiss refusal to approve in the near total absence of key clinical evidence on safety and effectiveness.

A very interesting 7 minutes. I guess we the general public don't have the real information to be able make a decision based on true facts, as there is so much conflicting information being published. Call me stupid, but I'm inclined to go with the vacine and take my chances for a good outcome..

As someone married to a concerned and sceptical nurse my advice via her is ‘don’t be at the front of the queue’. Swathes of clinicians won’t be.
