Sprint Sprint St Headlights

Both relays are switching so I think its a problem between there and the lights. I have power coming out so it must be a cable break. Just a case of trying to find it!

 

Right-hand (offside). Which looks correct from the wiring diagram and makes sense for the UK.

 

There is no power to the LHS. I think it might just as easy to rewire using DeCosse's guide. Fairly straightforward and I don't have to find the break!

 

Although finding the earth might be helpful too. Any ideas where it might be located?

 

No power to the actual LHS bulb connector but there is power out of the relay. Tomorrow I am going to rig up a bypass straight from the relay to the connector. If that works its a break somewhere in the harness.

 

Just thinking about it, it is strange that if those two small link wires are bridging the power wires, on both plugs, then I get dip/main beam on both lights. Yet if I put the relays in I only get the RHS light. The relays are clicking, the lights work but not with relays which is strange. So I can conclude that there is not a break as the lights actually work.

 

Well I've found the problem. The relays I bought are the wrong type. I still had a Durite one which I slotted in and the lights work. I now have to find a similar one.....

 

Relay purchased, fitted and lights working! And somewhat brighter than before which was the point of doing all this! Thanks for everyone's help.

 

The first thing that springs to mind is a blown bulb . Beyond that it could be a blown fuse or a faulty relay. I would check things in that order to start.
