Ive just picked my 1200 RS up this week, took it straight to KAIS near Manchester to get the suspension set up and took the (useless for the lake district) Metzeler RR's off and swapped for Bridgestone S22's. The bike is firmer than my previous 1050R (2017) but i love it... Its worth noting that out of the box the suspension was fully pre loaded at the rear and no preload on the front. Only issue is i cannot connect the navigation via the 'My Triumph' App, ive seen a few posts on this and it appears it needs to addressed by the service team at Triumph. Missing frame no information on the software when it was first loaded onto the bike! Also the additional extras are in short supply, Im still waiting for my fly screen and windshield, sports mirrors and exhaust bracket... hope this helps..

So comparing it too the 2017R, whats the biggest difference?
Anything you feel that is better on the 2017 and what's better on the 1200RS?

Hi, I’m in the same boat, waiting on half of my accessories, but worth the wait, just fitted the evotech rad guard, but the bolts for the cowls are made from butter, so ordered some new ones.

    Hi guys
Does anyone know of any aftermarket exhaust manufacturers making an end can for the new 1200rs?
    Cheers

Did the suspension change much with KAIS - did thet just make adjustments or change the high speed compression damping etc? I think the harshness is the HS comp. Me too waiting for accessories...

I have seen a few new reviews were dealers have been adjusting the suspension based on triumph feedback making a big difference to the ride. I am speaking to to my local dealer next week and will ask.

I have just added the evotech rad guard, and see they have a tail tidy now listed. Need to see some better angles before taking the plunge. For any one fitting the guard, the cowl bolts are 3nm and made of butter. As my indicators were swapped out for the scrolling ones, the second removal and refit just messed the heads up. They were cheep enough to replace, so looking like new again

getting the indicator wiring stowed was a fiddle and the fitting guide isn't very clear..

I’ve applied to the 1050rs too. I definitely agree about the compression but I had to a little softer on the rebound. Definitely better as well.

Looks smart, I have a tail tidy coming tomorrow and hope to fit this weekend, have removed the factory tail already as I couldn’t remove the rear wiring as my tracker is wired in to the rear light loom (which is a pain) and didn’t like were the dealer fitted the tracker, have moved it out of sight, still waiting on the fly screen and exhaust hanger. Hopefully they will be in for first service.
Managed to loose the passive key so have a new one getting coded in a when it gets serviced. The thing is so tiny lol.

Question, for those with a new 1200 RS, how are you finding getting neutral gear, I find it’s almost impossible and wonder is it the bike or me. Before I ask the stealers wanted to see how others are getting on

    thanks

Hi Chris, though I haven’t taken delivery of mine yet I have been out on the same demo twice and first time round I found it difficult from 1st to get neutral, it was easier to select 2nd gear and then select neutral. However on my second time out a week later I found it easier and got neutral either way. Suppose I will truly find out when I take delivery.

Also, still no news on any aftermarket exhaust when I searched. I wanted to order a radiator guard yesterday from Evotech and saw that they are out of stock currently. I will have to wait till they notify availability. Also ordered the rectifier guard and calliper plates. I so wish Arrow will make a low boy full system like they use to for the 2015. Sad to see they have very little for Triumph on their website currently.

When stopped, click up to 2nd, then it's trivial to get into N from there, at least on mine.
