I did ok with mine. Got the arrow 3into1pipe, jelly seat, belly pan, fly screen, seat cowl and anodised brake reservoirs all in for 10.5g new at the time. As you say no carbon though.
When you see the cost of upgrades it's definitely better to buy a bike with all the extras already fitted. Second hand deals on low mileage 2012/13 Rs are superb when you see what you get for the money.

That's what I did. I'd seen the R new and really wanted one but couldn't afford it.
Saw a black 2012 one this summer with lots of goodies already on and snapped it up.
PVM, Ohlins, Brembo and carbon stuff already fitted.
    Love it
    Cheers
    Steve

There's a lot of bike there and I bet it was well cheaper than what I paid!
Personally I prefer the pre 2015 version with the PVM's because you can still hook em up to tuneECU as well.
Don't think you can do that on the 2016 models any more?

    +1 that, nice bike Steve.

Taf, depends what you mean by 2016 model, agreed as far as I know the latest Euro4 version with engine modes isn't supported by TuneECU, and is one of the reasons I've also avoided it.
But I've got a '94R which was available 2015/16 (and just to confuse matters Triumph also referred to it as MY16) and I can confirm that TuneECU connects. So far I've uploaded the Arrow map and checked throttle body balance without problem. Apparently you need to run TuneECU via Android and Bluetooth to get the function of cancelling the service spanner, haven't tried that yet as still under warranty till Sept when I'll start doing my own servicing. Unfortunately last time I checked TuneECU still can't cycle the ABS module into bleed mode which is a shame.

I like my '94R for the black anodised fork legs and the subtle retro white graphics (+ extra plastics), not too fussed about missing out on the carbon, but do wish they'd stuck with those PVM's.:mad:

Need to know if it's standard or R version and also your VIN number to pick out the right map. PM me if you'd rather not post your VIN. :)
(It'll be one of the 95RON maps, 91RON is just for countries with crap fuel I guess - although I seem to remember reading somewhere that the US might have different numbers - that figures they can't even get gallons the right size.;))
No apologies to any yanks listening in. :D
