This is one of the best bands to come out of Scotland, they had a number one with the instrumental "Pick up the pieces" but this is another good one from them..

    I didn't know AWB were Scottish !!!

I was a big big fan of them, bought an album, wore out the grooves, loved the music.

Yeah they were a great band Dave, true musicians:cool: i was speaking to a guy the other week who used to play trumpet in a Dundee band called Mafia fronted by Dougie Martin who was a brilliant singer and should have been a big star (he died in 2012),in this clip Dougie talks about his life and music and Alan Corrie who formed AWB talks about how Dougie was a big influence in his life..

I often play music on my bluetooth thingie when on a long run but have found you need to be careful what you play. 633 squadron or dambuster march almost guarantee licence losing speed. Steppenwolf, born to be wild is equally dangerous.

Some tracks are sublime, I like some Elvis Costello tracks... but Joe Jackson hit it perfect with this... happily listen to this anytime

Ok, this rubs some folk up the wrong way, but I think it was innovative, fresh and anti-establishment at the time... apart from Marc Bolam, David Bowie.... errr, but more so a great piece of music

Whilst not a direct lineage or Six degrees of separation, I like to think that certain music feeds another... and the links of this chain are there...

I just scrolled through the entire 57 pages of this thread. You guys/gals have some fantastic taste in music, but I'm devastated that our fellow Triumph rider isn't here (see below) :( I view this song as good insurance against a ticket :) If you start out at a stoplight and turn on the right version of this song, you'll be going so fast through the speed trap that they police won't even bother to chase you;) If you put it on a 'loop,' you'll be going warp speed and pass the Enterprise by the third tack. For me, there seems to be a direct connection to right wrist.

I've posted a few versions of "Hey Joe", one of my favourite songs but this one is the only one I know to include a fiddle.

Just thought I'd add this song. Classic old song but Eric doesn't half "own" it.
