If you listen to Born in the usa especially the acoustic version,it's not exactly a patriotic song! He does a lot for the vietnam vets who were treated like sh*t when they returned home, not sure how true the claiming to be gay bit is but i bet a lot of other guys wish they had thought of that!
Seen him a few times myself... Outstanding. Every single time. Last time was the etihad in Manchester. "The river" followed by "point blank" had tears dripping off my chin... And I'm no wuss. A real memorable moment in my life. As good as the first time my knee touched Tarmac (without actually falling off) ATB Bob
Born in the USA is far from being patriotic. Quite the opposite... But I agree, let's keep the great vids coming. For fans of counting crows...sprintdave... Bob
You can't beat a bit of early Elvis, the sun recordings are my favourite i found it really hard to pick just one, but this ones pretty good, raw Elvis at his best..don't try listening with stereo headphones as it's in Mono!
Yeah Bob, i love all the early rock"n"roll it was all over by the time i was born though (1960). i still like a lot of his later stuff but once he came out the army he was tamed!
Just now.......................Whistling Rufus, Chris Barber! I love trad jazz, been playing it all morning, this has stuck in my head..............
Not heard of them before, you can hear the ac/dc influence, but like you say thats no bad thing, This was a favourite to sing along to after a few drinks, Mr Cool himself
