Sorry to jump on this but found doing a search on “Snow” (great photos btw, particularly of the handsome pooch!) . Anyone here know (or can point me to where in the forums might..) any effect snow has on the bike? Mine’s outside my house with a winter cover on at least (now with a layer of snow on it too) but any good practice/tips to keep it healthy? (I’ll fire it up later today, we’ll see if my lovely light Lithium battery copes with the cold, it’s their only Achilles heel). I was shocked to see friends had their scoot and Enfield out naked!

your cover will keep it dryer for when the stuff melts. an occasional trickle charger on the battery is a good idea too. use a charger made specially for your Li battery.

by itself low temperature doesnt cause a problem. its the wet that seeps inside when it warms, i would think.

occasionally turning th emotor over will equaize aging on the valve springs

On a bike that lives outside, keeping it as clean as possible will help immensely if/when it gets wet from rain, snow or just condensation. A dry layer of salt laden road crap will become a salt poultice when wet, helping the sodium chloride do it's evil work.

I spent some days with my wife in the mountains nearby of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We hiked up the mountain Bjelasnica up to the top at 2.067 m above the sealevel.
    Following some impressions.

The VW Golf II was "parking" at 1.950 m.

At the top it was a bit chilly, but the view was great.

You can't beat a ham and pease pudding sarnie. Can only get pease pudding in a tin in Cheshire, so any trip back to the north east we always bring some fresh home. Pease pud is also great in a saveloy dip with stuffing, gravy and mustered:)

A tad chilly in the Dales. Teaching first aid to some local gamekeepers.
