Added some new bling to her this weekend. The quality of these is top notch and they look sooooo good. Relatively inexpensive for the pair too.

Shame Health & Safety has gone mad, the lengthy "Warning" text is now etched into the lids, when I bought mine a few years ago the "Warning" text was a sticky label that could be removed and looks much better for it. Bought the same more recently for the wife's Street Triple and now etched in, didn't really like spending all that money to be nagged at.

I hear you, it is annoying. I will probably paint the top later on when it gets warmer here, or bead blast it to be raw aluminum. The rear doesn't bother me, but the front is kind of annoying.

Went ahead and fitted a fly screen and boy is it nice. Really like the finished look on the bike. Haven't tried it yet though, snow/cold here still.

Took about 20 minutes to install, 3 screws to take the cowl off, 2 captive nuts, 2 screws and assemble in reverse order.

Oh and I put a cool "S" sticker for "speedy" on the brake reservoir ;)

Looks awesome buddy. It appears to be quite tinted from your photos, is that just the photo or does it have a nice tint? Can’t wait to hear how it works compared to no screen.

It is that dark (maybe a little lighter in the day time), which I'm glad about because if it were clear, it was coming off and going in the trash. It looks great, I was surprised.

Love that fly screen, Sideburn! Most of the ones I've seen seem to be a replacement for the stock one but I like how this one leaves the stock one intact and adds the new one. But it doesn't look like an "add on". I did a quick review of the posts but didn't see who makes the fly screen you put on your bike or where you got it. I'd be more interested--and appreciative-- of that info. Your bike looks awesome!

Thanks for the info. I'm going to be at my local Triumph dealer tomorrow so will check into getting one ordered.

I found the Triumph Flyscreen Visor Kit on theTriumph website, thanks to Sideburn. I couldn't order it directly, hiwever, as the website said to "check with your local dealer". Today my dealer checked through their direct Triumph ordering system which indicated it was discontinued. However, the parts sales associate did some poking around and found that Pure Triumph carries that kit. I believe you can also get just the flyscreen visor at Bike Bandit but they don't include all of the fasteners, etc. for some reason. Anyway, I have the kit on order and I'm eagerly looking forward to getting it and putting it on my RS!

Nice! You’ll like it a lot I think. At less than 45 MPH it’s not that different but at higher speeds it is crazy how much less buffeting there is on your lower chest.

The looks and adding a bit of a visor for the LCD is reason enough to get one though, IMHO

I'm REALLY glad to read about the visor helping to lessen the buffeting. Did a ride today in very windy conditions and got quite beat up. And, as you said, at higher speeds it's crazy. I was riding along thinking, "Gee, I sure am happy I have that part on order!" One of my other bikes has a touring fairing and the other has a pretty substantial wind screen. I was second-guessing my bike choice a few times when we were going 70mph or so. The good looks of the visor and the bit of shade it will provide for the LCD will be a bonus!

Hey, Sideburn, I got my fly screen visor today from Pure Triumph. It's a little confusing so I have a question for you. Do you pull off the stock painted fly screen, put on the tinted visor, then install the stock fly screen back over the top of the fly screen visor? Essentially, does the visor attach so it could be a stand alone and then the stock painted fly screen just goes on over the top of that and sort of "doubles up"? Hope I'm making sense. Thanks!

Go to triumphinstructions.com and enter the part number. It will pull up a rough installation PDF.

Basically you remove the two side bolts on either side of the LCD. These can be visually seen. Then under the stock flyscreen is a black insert between it and the LCD. Wiggle it and it should pull out. Behind that is a 3rd bolt that you cannot see until this removed. Unscrew that and the flyscreen will come off.

Add the stickers to the new screen you got, which I believe is for noise/vibration. Then add the two tab inserts on the stock fly screen. Then snap it in place and screw it in. You'll now have a two piece flyscreen, old+new. Reinstall in reverse order and enjoy the mod.

Thanks for the install info and details. I'll look at for the Triumph install PDF tomorrow and also take a (much) closer look at what came in the box. I didn't see any stickers but will look specifically for those. Are the tab inserts on the stock fly screen that you mentioned already on or connected to the stock fly screen? Thanks again for all the helpful info, Sideburn!

Ah, crud. Looks like even with all your help and info I wound up ordering the wrong fly screen visor. My bad. Anyway, the one I got came from Pure Triumph. The correct one came up in a Google Search from World of Triumph which looks like it's in the UK. Where did you get yours from Sideburn? I'm hoping Pure Triumph has the one I need and I can do an exchange but, if not, I'll return it and order the correct one even if I have to get it from "across the pond".

Got it off an authorized dealer from eBay. Took less than a week to get.

Interesting.... I just now got off the phone with a guy from Pure Triumph (Florida) where I got the incorrect fly screen. He said that part (A9708266) was banned by DOT in the U.S.! How bizarre is that? That's why they don't have it on the Triumph US website evidently. But he's gonna dig a bit to see what he can find out. If he can get it for me he will just send it and I can return the one I ordered incorrectly. If he can't get it, I'll find one on eBay. Thanks!!
