It is exactly that Tez, just a test measure. If it achieves what you want then the definitive thing to do is remove the system.

When I was in Triumph showroom getting prices on exhaust the guy there told me to not do any other mods than gen exhausts or I would never get it running right !!! Weird I thought as every other bike manufacturer has mods galore.... harley etc.... Why are Triumph so against it I wonder ?

Probably not Triumph being against aftermarket / third party mods, sounds like it was more like the salesman wanting to make a sale.

Just took mine into the dealer for a re-map, 13 plate America.

No re-map required !!!! Has got the standard map and it is suitable for the TOR's, no change required. Not just my bike but also my pals bike too. According to them, later bikes don't need to change map, standard map is fine.

SO according to my dealer, buy them TOR's, fit and run em. (if later model)

When I spoke to the dealer after fitting cocktail shakers, was told could do the re map but not really necessary, also would show up if any problems occur on their system and may invalidate warranty.
Basically use exhausts as they are, any problems just put on original pipes and take it in.

IF so, they do seem to have some bad damage to them, ok on the rear but rusted through it seems, to be honest even though I need pipes for my 2014 (should I keep it ) I did quickly dismiss these, not worth 90 quid , though thats just my honest opinion

I'm with Tez and Mr O on this one, the RHS pipe looks well and truly FUBAR, the damage + corrosion appears to be well passed the point of no return. I think I've seen a pair of these on flea-bay recently, about £90 and in much better condition.
