I am a sociable type of bloke, I actually enjoy my job & the normal interactions that go with a days work, if I am honest I get more done at home, just the motivating of, and interaction with my team that I am missing. :(

When I was working I always preferred to be in the office, so I agree with you there. Only time I worked from home was when I was waiting for a delivery or had a doctor/dentist appointment if it was in the middle of the day.

I have been partly working from home for about 15 years, doing a mix of site work and home office work as well as occasional visits to the main office (our main office was in treforest and was flooded out so I had not been there for a while) as well as research trips to the local museums or the national library of wales and local archives.
I prefer the site work, excavation of archaeological remains, but the home days are pretty cool as then I can work my own hours and as long as I get the job done all is good and it means I can have an extended lunch time bike ride (though not currently) and work into the evening to make up for it.

Currently I am on 80% wages as a furloughed worker and am not allowed to work

I had 3 years “ working from home” in my last job. The laptop had an app on it that showed my boss when I was working, ie tapping away at the PC. However a team member gave me a tip, put a stapler or similar on the “ space” bar to hold it down and it looks like you are hard at it all times of night and day..! I got away with murder . But must have managed to do the job Ok as I fulfilled all of my tasks in time and ran a team of 8 with no problems. Thankfully my boss only communicated by email and didn’t use FaceTime ......!

Am finding it a little difficult to work from home :(:(
No cockpit, rotors, engine, gearbox etc makes it a little tricky ;);)
Banter however never stops, WhatsApp is golden (although if my phone ever got impounded I might end up in jail) :joy::joy:

If ‘I’ worked from home the neighbours would shit themselves, one day I’d be working on classic cars, next I’ll have a massive hgv eight wheel recovery truck I’d be ripping the sides out then other days I’d have a full height escalator in bits with chains and wheels rolling everywhere then I’d be painting motorcycle tank sets in a plume of overspray mist sticking to all the locals windows!!

Hobnobs: since I've been 'working from home', I seem to be eating Hobnobs all day long.

Who owns them? I need to buy shares...

Today's walk, up the local mountain, said to be the last day of this lovely weather, with her indoors. Also managed a shopping run to the coop in lampeter, nice 16mile round trip and nice to they had stuff on the shelves, took the kwak as I have throw overs for it. Doing a chemist run tomorrow for a neighbour, will take the bonnie for that one.
