The problem isn’t that anyone gets into the country. It’s the fact we give anyone, apart from the indigenous somewhere to live and give them benefits too.

Why wouldn’t anyone not want to be here?

I have been quiet on here for the past 4 months as took on a interim role with a company working with the NHS, oh my god, what a mess the NHS is in, too many beaurocrats leading good honest people into a pile of s??t. I love the NHS but all Of the UK parties have politicised it and there in lies the issue. It’s a health service not a political battle field. Enough said .

My only experience of the NHS is on the point of delivery and for me that has always been very positive. Those guy's do fantastic work for millions of people every day. Can't comment on the back office management functions, as there is as much misinformation published by all politicians on this subject as there is in Brexit.......

I used to go out with a senior staff nurse in Salisbury and she was telling me there was a ward manager (no matrons anymore) who managed a number of wards (no medical background), he had a PA and the PA had an assistant. The PA's assistant earned more than she did as a senior staff nurse.
Way too many bureaucrats but unfortunately when it comes to money saving they are the people who do it, and they're not going to put themselves out of a job are they?

I guess I won’t express a popular view but all things considered the NHS is relatively under managed (about 4% of workforce). A lot depends on your definition of manager of course as there are many ‘clinical’ managers who are usually senior Drs and nurses leading clinical services and their teams.

Pay wise, again relatively under paid compared to the private sector. The top of a local NHS Trust is the CEO who can expect to earn £150k for running a £200 million organization. Still a heck of a lot of money but I would think the equivalent organisation in the private sector would earn a lot more.

What the NHS really lacks is the funding to not just patch it up but take it into this century to help an older population with ever increasing complex health problems.

Yeah but, methinks declaring a major incident and doing something about it are poles apart.

    .
Her level of morality and her sense of entitlement seems to be in keeping with her political peers. Yet again we are reminded of how gullible the public are because somehow these are the clowns we are unbelievably and ultimately trusting to make decisions on our future.
You know something? We deserve everything that is coming our way because we put the fuckkwits where they are. Politicians are generally incompetent and rotten to the core.

Oh look, 1/2 way through January and no snow, in fact, it's a really mild January with overall fairly nice weather. Proves what a bunch of dicks the media are in this country and presumably the world.

Thank god for global warming.

Meanwhile the Met Office bangs out climate change propaganda while its mere ‘weather’ accuracy falls off a cliff after 72 hrs. I have seldom heard such one sided tosh masquerading as peer reviewed science since records began........particularly the bit about ice coverage since the first weather satellite went up (for 19 days to measure cloud cover in 1960).
