I only posted the first photo in response to @OldNick’s first quote.

I’d like to think he still would swing his pants to the genteel melodies of the anti-nowhere league or similar.

Actually, thinking about it and depending on your point of view, for better or worse, he’s probably been one of the most important public figures in British society over the last couple of decades... so much bigger things, yeah!

On the 20/4/1968 Enoch Powell made his rivers of blood speech I think that prediction will come true in the near future. When the the silent, decent, law abidiing, hard working ordinary people of this country finally decide enough is enough.

Or maybe most members come on to a bike forum to talk about bikes?

This YouTube clip is Covering the scale of illegal immigration, Nigel Farage on talkradio...

I’m led to believe my nearest hotel housing illegals is about 7 mile away (evidence pending), in a Northwest industrial port town, how close is yours?

And no, I’m not a NF fanboy!
And no, I’m not protesting too much!
Sheesh, you guys and your labelling... it’s toxic and I’ll be offended!!!

Before my post about Enoch Powells speech I found the FULL copy of his speech and read it all carefully, it does put in to context, and not how news programs, various pressure groups made it sound over the last 50 odd years, by only playing bits that suited there cause.

    My 2ps worth.

Some folks are born in the wrong body - I know someone about whom I believe that to be true.

And as with correcting other birth errors, we should support people who need to transition. There should be no stigma or prejudice associated with this - your genes are your genes.

But encouraging kids, who are often confused about their sexuality anyway, to consider such life changing surgery at a young age is totally wrong. I saw an interesting post by an old, happy gay guy, that he'd have probably been pushed in this direction as a young man, but that it wasn't who he was and he feared that other young gay people will be encouraged in this direction rather than simply being gay. Effectively irreversible surgery should not be encouraged amongst the young.

Also, I'm with those other 'gammons', Germaine Greer and J. K Rowling - cutting your dick off and taking hormones, doesn't make you the same as a woman who was born one and has experienced growing up as one. Same with being a man - your relationship with your penis starts early!

But if adults sincerely believe they have been born in the wrong body and the medical profession believes them and can help, then good luck to them - I wish them all the best in their new bodies!

    DS

Some very good sentiments there. I am with Duck in the sense that the school and BBC cannot be the organisations to influence whether a child should even be thinking about these issues at such an early age. If it is an issue at an early age it should be discussed between the guardians/medical profession and mental health specialists. In my opinion, young children should not be exposed to the liberal crap that leads the children to think that gender is a menu choice. It is promoted that way to suit sexual politics of those pushing it.....and not for the benefit of the children. That's leaving aside the physical manifestation of this trend.......how many different variation of toilet, for example, do you provide at each school to cater for the blossoming number of sexual variations?

I'm with Doc on the rest of the issue and sympathise with any adult who has to contemplate these changes.

My 2pence worth. Did not see @Duckadiledundee mention the BBC?
On the subject of the number of different sexes, there are only two; male and female.
I agree there are some very messed up people and where necessary we should support them at what ever age they are. But that does not mean influencing the very young on what sex they should be. As for toilets in schools there should only two, one for boy's and one for girls

@Wessa - he didn't - but they are - at every opportunity and since children will be watching (those that watch TV and who don't rely on Instaflix and Netagram etc), not only programs directed at their age with transgender content but programs broadcast beyond the watershed (because their 'producers' either don't give a flying copulation or are ignorant of the fact that their children should not be watching it) which, I felt, (maybe incorrectly) fitted with Ducks sentiment. Forgive me if I was wrong in that.

Have you watched the latest versions of Doctor Who? Jodie Whittaker is brilliant.....but the themes depicted and general political leaning.....no way.

Once you start having variations on a theme where does it end, in years to come we could have some right messed up folk all claiming their rights to be taken as normal

I self identify as a witness against the mob. As such, I expect to be moved to a tropical location, put up in a nice house, and given a stress-free "job" (from which I can never be fired no matter what I do), provided a nice new car, and a good allowance -all at the government's (read tax payer's) expense, of course.

No forgiveness required mate. Like @Duckadiledundee say's all TV station broadcast gender content not just the BBC. I don't watch kids TV so cannot really comment on what is included. As far as programmes after the watershed it is parental responsibilty on what kids watch so I don't think you can say that the TV companies don't care.. It is down to the parents, but like a lot of the problems with kids today it is always somebody else's fault not the kids or the parents that brought them into this world..

My simpleton’s 5c worth. Are we looking down the wrong end of the telescope?

If the rejected body functions in all respects as designed then maybe the problem is not in the body but, rather, in the head? Given our current state of knowledge of how the brain actually works, will the current practice of lopping bits off and sticking bits on look pretty barbarous in 100 yrs time?
