Of late, I've found myself adopting one of Ol' Ma Strange's favourite phrases and saying 'Glad I won't be here to see it!' with greater regularity!

I'm pleased that I have lived through the high-water mark of human freedom - my youth wasn't constantly recorded on mobile phones or social media, my voicing of political opinions wasn't likely to attract shrill condemnation from those who disagreed with me, my every move wasn't on CCTV, and my online presence wasn't monitored by every company under the sun!

It seems all the dystopian sci-fi I've enjoyed reading over the years is coming true!

But at least I can say to most folks, 'I've seen things you people wouldn't believe...' :)

With you there, "I'm glad I won't be here to see it", but sad to think, actually I'm seeing it now and worse, my 5 grandchildren will see it.

Well he fell off a few walls as a kid that's for sure. Also fell in a swimming pool in Spain as a toddler and fell in a river in Wales too. The Welsh river was probably the most dangerous a it was fast flowing/cascading but I managed to grab him fairly quickly.

I must admit, it hasn't been easy trying to pass as human.

It won't be so funny when we run out of full stops. They don't grow on trees, you know.

    Or do they...

Sorry that you have had a set back with getting your grandson @Foxy1 , I hope that sense prevails in the end mate, just try and keep your cool as expressing your true frustration may well work against you. :(

It was hard enough when we did the adoption process 18 years ago, not so sure I would make it through the process now, as I am not PC enough!

One of the things I love about the BBC (apart from Test Match Special and the World Service, ooh and the Archers on lazy Sunday mornings) is that they post articles of politicians and others criticising the BBC, which I’m not aware of many other public service broadcasters doing:)

I used to laugh at the plastic anarchists in the days of punk and argue with them about how stupid their political views were, however what they were advocating seems to be becoming a reality, and the real turning point has been when the language of Woke became mainstream
So although many people may not post their views here the fight back really starts by speaking honestly and openly and winning back the mainstream
I also agree with Duck I can see this whole thing getting out of hand and people getting hurt
