It was the objective I was suggesting - a quiet life. I didn't actually recommend a method. Decapitation would certainly keep Mrs Duck quiet, but the repercussions for you might not result in a quiet life. Unless they put you in solitary, of course.

Slight change of rant,in the 70s the miners got no special favours from police or the establishment and they had a real fukn cause to fight for when they demonstrated--jobs,families etc. The tossers now should get the same treatment and they can have parity with better people from the past

 

Should be shot for crimes against good taste. And cruelty to old machinery.

It does not always help to conflate slavery with racism. We had Barbary (North African) pirates capturing and enslaving Irish coastal villagers. Barbary pirates were then vigorously suppressed by the US Revolutionary Navy at the direction of George Washington - himself a slave owner. Their mistake was interfering with US trade.

Then there is the tricky reality that in C16/17/18 West Africa about 1/3rd of the population was enslaved to the other 2/3rds who sold them to Europeans who were in turn chased off the High Seas by the Royal Navy. Meanwhile slavery was only made illegal in Saudi Arabia in the 1960s but plenty of Phillipinos and Bangladeshi might say it endures. Very few peoples emerge with an unblemished history of inhumanity to their own and others. We are fortunate to live in more enlightened times. As for racism, the bad news is that when our European and Asian ancestors walked out of Africa 60+ thousand years ago they didn’t exactly look Nordic. Go figure......
