Be warned, weld spatter will go through eyelids.

And, arc eye is noooooo fun. Ask me how I know. Like the worst dose of conjunctivitis you ever had... A couple days after I thought it was over and done with, was at a wedding. Flash on a camera set it off again.

    Plenty mask choice here... https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_...57.m4084.l1313.TR11.TRC1.A0.H0.XReactive.TRS0

My dad, a welder on the Clyde was called "flash" by his mates, used to hear them call him at at football as a kid, thought he was the fastest welder.
Didnt realise until a lot later it was because he always got arc eye or " a flash" as it was called theno_O

Big Sandy. Tell me what you want, sizes, etc. I'll order it and then turn it around to you in normal post. It won't be anything like £32.

PM me the details if you wish.

Thanks for the offer @Adie P, much appreciated, but I have decided that they can rot in a deep hole infested with the fleas from an old rancid near dead trollop.

    Their loss.

When complaining about my wifi that constantly drops out the tech guy did some tests and came back with the pearl that these routers suffer from blackspots. (I don't live in a big house and there is 1 single brick wall with a doorway between my computer and the router). Their suggested remedy was to purchase @ £3 per month some wifi extenders! The cheek of suggesting I have to pay extra to make something passably work when it is clearly unfit for purpose.

My answer was an unequivocal 'NO!"

    p.s.
If you're reasonably polite and firmly positive with your argument they will give you the extenders for free with £15 off your monthly contract.

Cheers for the heads up DD.
As for the Green Spot he's still going through a bottle of Dubliner and hasn't opened it yet. I'll give you a shout when he has.

I use these to extend my network: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01LXOZ4EN/

They operate over your electicity cables and can be setup and in use within seconds. I use them to provide wifi and network in my garage which is about 100 yards away from my house.

Aye this happens on a regular basis, when we had the old Seaking helicopters of the RAF & Navy those guys where called out all the time, the difference now is that it all went to contractor so someone should be responsible for their stupidity as the work load has not diminished made worse as the mountain rescue guys and gals on foot are putting their necks on the block.
A lot of folk don't realise that on the Scottish mountains you can get all four seasons in one day hats off to those rescuers, some nations do charge for rescue or require insurance to cover you as costs rise we may yet see it here it has been debated before now.

Sailing into Loch Maddy in a force 7 a few years back we saw the lifeboat storming in from Stornoway to rescue some numbskulls who'd ventured out to sea without charts and hit a rock. The mind boggles, those are perilous waters.

On another day, on channel 16:

"Stornoway Coastguard, this is yacht soandso, we are a tad lost, can you advise us where we are?"
"Yacht soandso, can you give us your lat and long please?"
    "Latitude: 56°27'15.8"N, longitude 5°59'52.6"W"
"(sniggering in the background) You appear to be aground on Mull, sir"

    FFS.

Currently planning to go up Nevis at Easter with a mate of mine.
We are taking a storm shelter, snow spikes and a host of other gear and that is in April !!! Even on the nicest of summer days it's bloody cold at 4500ft and in April there will still be snow on the peak. So to go up there in February in a storm !!! Beggar's belief.

I wish they could be prosecuted for endangering lives by there actions.

"At one point the police instructor reached 101mph in a 30mph zone on his way to the college where his son was a student, just before 9am on April 30 last year."

How the hell can he get away with 101mph in a 30 limit before 9am during rush hour, in a car he had no business being in??!!!:mad:- Unfecking believable, when I got done for doing 34mph by a fecking stationary camera  - Talk about one rule for us and another for them!!

Typical of the standard of UK main stream media these days, they gave up fact checking years ago, now it appears they have also given up on grammar and spell checking also....and it is the fecking Daily Mail
