Everyone's allowed an opinion. If you feel strongly enough to express it and someone sneers or derides you for having that opinion because it's different to theirs, then they're probably not intelligent enough to understand in the first place.

If everyone is to be considered equal then attitudes and the law has to be applied consistently and equally to all...however it is not. Abuse aimed at race, gender, sexual orientation is no different to abuse suffered by anyone for any other reason. If it is real abuse then there were already laws to deal with it. How is there any equality when a physical attack is considered worse if the attacker uses racial language, than an attack where the attacker uses generally insulting language - the victims suffer the same, so why is the crime not considered the same.

I find it so hypocritial that those who say they want equality are usually the same people that use accusations of ism's, and want to introduce laws to specifically discriminate for or against certain groups of society.

Morgan Freeman said it right, "if you want to stop racism, then stop talking about it". The same can be said for all ism's, stop talking about them and just treat everyone as human beings, no special treatment for any group.

And if someone is a prat then you should be able to call then a prat, without that person claiming some kind of victim status based on some "special" attribute that they have decided they possess. That is how I understood Duck's original post, people should be able to take cricism and differing opinions "grow a pair of balls" instead of having a melt down and crying that they have suffered the worst crime imaginable.

I guess the issue stems from the root whereby historically, minority groups were treated differently because they were believed to be lesser people than the larger populous.
If a person is regarded as a lesser person, then they tended to be subjected to rights deprivations.
That’s where black men were thought of as being closer to monkeys, or gays as being mentally ill, or the mentally ill as sub-human or possessed.
At least that was my understanding of the problem... that’s why there was a protectionist movement, wasn’t it?

Not only do the professionally offended wind up the people that are painted as the offenders, they do a massive disservice to the many genuine folks that are on the receiving end real abuse.

Bought a PCV for my bonnie, based on Dynojet website info.
Turns out it dont fit, contacted Dynojet and they very kindly offered to swap with correct unit if I sent it to their Dutch HQ with a RA number.

Took it to post office 13th Jan paid £15 for tracked and signed, waited 14 days asked Dutch HQ if they had seen it, they said nope.

Jumped onto Royal mail tracker gizmo:
THE FECKIN THING IS IN THAT WELL KNOWN CITY IN HOLLAND CALLED TORONTO!!!!!!
Even the scanning machines can't spell in this country!!
    You couldn't make it up?

Spent an hour trying to talk to a human at Royal Mail the outcome is that the Canadian PO "should" forward to Holland, so my fingers are crossed but not too confident.
We are turning into a nation of expertly incompetent a**wipes

Makes me laugh all these PC liberals, most of them live in a white bubble and never mix with non whites. I've had a part time job now for many years where I mix with people from all over the world. There is one particular Pakistani guy who I have a great laugh with. He calls me white scum and I call him my fat Paki friend. A few months ago we were parked up near a mosque, I noticed a row of small windows that had no glass in so I said "they've been playing with explosives again" and he replied "or your mate Tommy Robinson's been round throwing stones". I reckon the snowflakes would have a fit. But we live in the real world and we have a laugh.

I had an email last week from Royal Mail,
"Your parcel is at your local depot and will be delivered to morrow. "
    Next morning I get one
"Sorry your parcel has been wrongly sent to Aberdeen"
Not on the same scale, Wishbone, but your not alone.

You’re entitled to your opinion mate, my opinion is that you are wrong... you also appeared to have a strong dislike for the pathetic cretins (angry red face)... let me return the dictionary favour...

So let me apologise if I got your sentiment wrong.

People are inherently ‘unequal’ - we have different talents, ambitions and application. Fair treatment is about equality of opportunity. After that, it is down to you.
I would not pretend we have equality of opportunity but choice matters. Some people spend as much on cars and holidays as others do on education.......

Spot on, everybody has a choice on where they spend their money. Clealry those that choose to save theirs then creates a gap in society of those that have and those don't, which in turn creates inequality

I can’t stand people playing the victim either, especially when you’ve seen people/treated people who’ve been victimised. I can’t say I approve of a lot of other people’s behaviour, hell I don’t always approve of my own. It’s a ducked up world as you would say.

But that’s not how it works is it?
You seem to think that there is an element of choice.
Absolutely there are those that chose attention. The vast majority don’t

you are now getting into the blurred world of lawyers, legal systems, mental health definitions and moral systems... In North America, Aruba has the lowest age of consent at 15 years old, while in South America, Paraguay, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia and Ecuador all have 14 as the age of consent. In the United States, the age of consent is 16 years old – this is shared by Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

When is a peado not a peado, when he moves from uk to Peru???

I’m just making conversation btw, I do not support the practice of peadophilia or koala sex
