Got a nice early outing this morning after all the shit weather. Turned out a glorious morning, absolutely beautiful and very enjoyable walk. The Mourne Mountains Co. Down.
@andyc1 I have an Instagram that I use very rarely. But I'd fire it up to look at your photos, Andy. What's your "handle" or whatever your user name is called on Instagram?
Beautiful, DCS! With views like these on a "gentle wander", I'd be hard pressed to turn around and go home.
No at home in Lincolnshire. My friend in Nordfjoraid sent me these this evening. I think these pictures are some of the best that shes ever sent me.
Andy, Nice setup ! and even better pictures! Do you use an ND filter ? or just the small aperture and low ISO ? Have you ever been caught by a wave ?
I rode past this view multiple times, last weekend I remembered to bring the camera with me, I prefer it to just images taken with the mobile phone. These blue agaves are used to distill tequila, and the plantation is near the town of Tequila.
What a great photo, Armondo. As a tequila aficionado, I love this photo. I can now better picture where my tequila comes from and will enjoy it even more!
Yes usually a graduated nd filter for the sky, its usually enough to get the shutter speed to around half a second which is perfect for getting that movment effect in the waves. I do come home with wet feet sometimes the worst problem is sea spray though if its windy, have to keep a microfibre in my pocket and wipe the lens before taking a shot. Not to mention giving my gear a good clean when I get home!
Yes, tripod is a must. You can manage to get sharp images with todays stabilisation in cameras and lenses but half a second is pushing it to the limits, especially when your standing on uneven surfaces and getting battered with strong winds and usually out of breath from a bit of a hike. Just a good wipe down with a good clean microfibre cloth is good enough. I sometimes use Zeiss lens wipes too which are great, they are individually packaged wet tissues which are cheap if you buy a load of them on ebay or amazon.
