    Cheers for nick bloors email!
Going to email triumph tomorrow, hopefully this will be sorted sooner or later or I’ll cut my loses and get rid of it.

I directly phoned Triumph USA HQ in Georgia in the past regarding a safety recall on my 2016 Thruxton R. I got an actual human on the phone quickly and she was very helpful! I hope you have a similar outcome. Keep us posted!

Hey Andy, first time I've been able to get out today to doing some testing, rode well over 100 miles..... not one missed gear using the quickshifter.:grinning:
I need to add I didn't use it below 6000 rpm. :imp:
Forgot how fast these are but I definitely need to tinker suspension.

    So she’s back with me!
Got on it earlier and it wouldn’t turn on, arsing around for 10 minutes with the key fob under the seat it suddenly kicked into life after numerous tries, then immobiliser fault on screen and key out of range!!!! FUCKING BIKE!!
Eventually it started so I took it out for only about half an hour but the quickshifter blipper felt good, hopefully it’s fixed, stopped at Sainsbury’s and bought some new batteries for the key fob, problem solved! I’ve now got 2 spares and a tiny Allen key under my seat cowl !
Hopefully I can now enjoy the bike,if the quickshifter plays ball otherwise if it happens again I’m gonna throw it in the sea!

Good luck, l hope it works out this time. Mine has been in the shop for 3 weeks now, don’t know what’s going on. They remove the gearbox completely and found excessive wear and now I’m just waiting. It’s been a very slow and frustrating experience so far with this bike, not impressed.

I have no idea what to say to that Steve, I'd be completely fuming bud.
Have you had a courtesy bike from the dealer?

Cheers pete, when it’s working it’s a great bike, the exhaust really crackles and pops coming off the throttle, love it

I may have to invest hahaha, i do love the look of the standard cans..... suppose it can be the best of boths worlds. Is it loud when the baffles in?

It’s not obscene with the baffle in, although I have a extra longer baffle for quieter trackdays, I like a nice noise without it being antisocial

yesterday was out all day, did 250 miles and danced on the quickshifter / blipper all day, smooth as silk now!
Hopefully that’s the end of it as it’s a great bike when working right.
Maybe need a bit more of a baffle in the exhaust as it’s a little droney cruising at motorway speeds.

That's great news you were able to ride 250mi and the QS did it's thing!:)
I'm a little confused, a new QS, but not the sensor and an up dated gear shifter. Was it a software update and a change in the length of the linkage, or the foot lever?

In the end I don’t think the garage understands what was the problem, new updated gear shifter with the notch cut out was fitted and new position sensor and a new QS unit, in the end it seams to have cured the problem, just hope it stays that way.

Yeah that certainly could be the case, they loaded and fired the blunderbuss in hopes that would cure the ishu.
I'm glad to hear your speedy is back and shifting correctly and also hope it stays that way too. :)

Damn, hope things get sorted out quickly for you. It’s one thing to have it in the shop and another during prime riding season!

Well I got the bike back on Saturday. Gearbox rebuilt and engine checked out to ensure no damage. The shifter linkage was nicely Dremeled out until to give the required clearance. I think I’m going to wait until the TSB comes out regarding the fix before I start using the QS. On a side note, pun intended, I removed the baffles on the bike tonight :p. It now sounds like it should. I love it.
