The suspension has transformed it, it’s actually softer with more control.
It now tracks the road without bouncing off,the Standard suspension although fine is much more aggressive.
And the rear shocks have harder than standard R springs but with the different damping actually feel softer

As your suspension is probably on the standard setting as regard the spring loading, i put mine down one setting, you think that would make it firmer but it make it somehow softer…. i also found it alot better if you get yer weight right back if you are on a bumpy road its a load easier going……

On last years Scottish trip my Factory fitted Pirelli rear tyre wore down to the carcase, (bike had covered 3500 miles) half way through the trip.Had to renew with what was available in the Highlands. Fitted a pair of Michelin Pilot Road 4. Have to say been very pleased with them, wearing nicely, (bike has covered 8000 miles now & they still look fine) good feedback & reasonably good value. Will renew them again after this years Scottish trip prior to the GMU, will prob go for Michelin Road 5, better looking tread pattern. The Pirelli wore out soooo quickly, way too soft for Road use imho.

I suppose apart from being a soft tyre theres so much power on acceleration will wear the tyre quickly anyway, so do you know that you can fit pretty much any brand of tyre bearing in mind it has a tube, as i did read that tyres you fit with a tube were different to tubeless, seems a bit silly really,

Depends on how much you want one.
Mine cost £70.00 to paint but I gave the guy£100.00 so if you really want one ,if it goes for less than £350.00 with the paint it would be just over half price

You can fit any tubeless type tyre to the spoked rims with a tube. I have not noticed any reduction in feel or grip levels between the Pirelli & the Michelin, but have noticed a massive difference in longevity, so go figure?? You may need to order new tyre in as they are not the most common of size & profile. I would always recommend renew as a pair even though the front may look ok. Talking of acceleration / The hike in torque since re mapping the ecm at Hilltop is amazing!

Haven’t had it Dyno tested, but noticeable difference. I would guesstimate HP up by 5% but thetorque is the real difference ( at least 20%). Max torque comes in slightly higher at around 2500 rpm but it pulls like a train up to the red line which has also been raised slightly. In sport mode ( I ride most of the time) it’s brilliant. Highly recommended & easy too & nottraceable. Happy days :yum

Do the rear pegs touch the exhaust at all or sit above it?
