No worries, no one seems to want it so I’ll probably still have it when the bikes gone:)

Must admit it’s still as the last pic, I’m off for two weeks over Christmas and it’ll turn from the caterpillar to the butterfly.
I’ll post the pictures from the worst to finished

The fairing is a lot more work than you might imagine, it’ll be great once finished though, added to the new suspension I’m really looking forward to the next ride

Be very interested to see what difference you think the suspension makes. Should look stunning in black with the fairing. Finally got a ride on mine today, about a 60 mile round trip. Only my second ride and it did fell slightly clunky this time, guess it all has to bed in, even got to emergency brake as someone careered around the outside of a roundabout while indicating left. Brakes made a horrific noise like metal on metal, but worked well enough.

Mine felt clunky until about 400 miles then the service and it’s now like cream

I unplugged the whole loom and re-routed either side of the fairing frame and it all went back with bags of room, I just hope the lights don’t go off when I hit the hooter:)

This is all good practice, if you dont like the fairing when its done then dont worry, it will always fit on mine.
Ive been on my thruxton every day with my wife this week, xmas eve, xmas day, Boxing Day and today, this involved a pillion passenger and a pint, so its been a good week, just gonna ask my wife where we are going tomorrow….ha.

I think foot pegs for a thruxton are as rare as hens teeth,i looked for a while and in the end i had to get them from triumph, were around £39. i got the sport pegs to match the front ones, as i thought the rubber ones wear out eventually.

Were they easy to fit? I'm imaging they are but have been known to be wrong in the past...!

Heres a close up of the little bracket and ball bearing Matt.

yes a bit fiddly as theres a small bracket and a small ball bearing that fits together and you slide it in with the peg into the bracket, so a large tray or a bag to catch the parts should they fall off while fitting is a good idea, once you do the first one the second one is easy….. the hard part is not losing the ball bearing.
