    Well, she's a Spaniel......

Actually the calmest most laid back spaniel we've ever had. And, she's still snoring! Feet twitching, tail wagging, the lot.

She doesn't like guns though... No use in that department!

Does this count as a pet? In the garden yesterday evening... IMG_20200509_204556_copy_3402x4459.jpg

Antlers coming in quite quickly. Must take a helluva toll on their body growing them every year.

Found a matched pair of antlers the other day, just at the side of the road.

Take it from me, NEVER give venison to a dog. Not meat, not bones... Why?

Imagine a 2 stroke engine with an exhaust that stinks of dog farts... That's what it's like... Popopopopopopppp..... Hummmm

My old mum, sadly deceased now, was stone deaf in her latter years. If the phone or doorbell rang her Dobberman named Lert because he was alert, would run to her and jump around in circles in front of her, she'd then look at the phone which had a flashing light if it was ringing. If it wasn't flashing she'd go to the door and somebody would be there. He was a brilliant dog. They should use Dobbermans as dogs for the deaf.

    That is sad to hear....:(

I have done similar though, you dont think, you just go in. I was walking my Jack Russel (called Silver, as he had a black spot on his head, and was a real pirate) and he jumped on to the frozen burn, smashed straight through... and I saw him floating with the current under the ice. I dropped all my gear (was also carrying an old praktika camera) and went in after him. It was only a couple or three feet deep, but by hell it was so cold. I was smashing the ice and ducking under to look for him... There was a bark, and there he was on the bank, soaking wet and chittering. Thank the godz.

We were about a mile from home. Whilst walking keeps you warm in a way, I dont think I have ever felt so bone achingly cold. We got home and got warmed up okay in front of the Rayburn.

I had dropped my camera, and it took one of the most atmospheric photos ever, I must see if I can find it. I know I kept it as a reminder.....

The puppy is six years of age mate - and I was hanging on for dear life! She's 19 kilos, and knows where she's headed...
The wife did great today, he's a young horse, but picking up great.
