Lovely, I used to 'dog sit' a springer and border when I first went up to Shetland, with all that open space and coast line they ran me ragged!

Unfortunately we were at the vets again today. When we got home after doing the shopping Jojo was shaking, wouldn't eat or drink and looked really lacklustre.

1 vet's visit and 150€ later he's home and eating his tea - and if he was allowed - Zero's tea as well - so that's alright then. I have tried to explain to them that going to the vets is NOT a day out, but they don't really seem to get it :(:(:(:(:eek::rolleyes::rolleyes:o_Oo_O

My wife thinks this scar on Incpots head is from wearing his racing muzzle, I don't, I think its his Quatermass scar, I sure he's bloody possessed by some strange force!
    DSCF5805.JPG
He's a cracking dog now, worth every penny we've spent on him, my constant companion, all fur grown back, scars all healed now both physically and mentally, and loving retirement along with his other 2 retired brother's and 1 sister, but I have to confess he is my 'special one', possessed or not!
    Incpot the totally bonkers dog!

I can fully understand your wifes 'parting bit', that is beyond doubt the worst part of dog ownership, I lost my beautiful CeeBee to an un-forseen illness last Remembrance day at a very young 2 1/2 yrs old, could not forget that day any way, she was every thing to me and irreplaceable.................until by a miracle Incpot came along 3 months later.
He needed a home urgently so at that time we reluctantly took him in, and we are so glad we did.
He is so much like CeeBee but in so many ways nothing like her if that makes sense?
You cant replace a dog, but you can always give 1 a home!
    Keep working on it mate.

This is Oscar Charlie, our famous Grey that broke his hock when playing in Shetland with us, long story but he lost his leg after breaking his hock, we had 2 options, PTS or amputation, he lived another 9 years to 14, proving it is no disability!
    229.jpg
He was nearly as fast as if he still had 4!
His original name was Oscar but the 'Charlie' bit came after the Shetland Rescue helicopter call sign 'Oscar Charlie', it also got him world wide fame and me a 2hr flight in the helicopter! BRILLIANT!!
I did get a bit fed up with people coming up and saying ' ohhh, he's only got 1 leg!'. ( I know what they meant though!)
