Never had you down as in to nature in the wild - Other than face doon in a field on a sunday morning Interesting picture though
Along with Greyhounds, my favourite dogs! Lovely picture, they remind me so much like my Haggis & Deefa, now sadly gone.
i woudn't say they are best friends, more acquaintances! Archie loves annoying Mickey he puts up with it for a while before putting the young one in his place
If you find an answer let me know mate, I getting rather worried too! They've all been suffering from it over the years and still no answer!
We must be mad!! 2 greyhounds presently in a trainers kennels just retired, a dog & a bitch, both black (my favourite!) which makes them hard to home, plus they need to go together as the bitch is dependent on the dog or wont go walkies, been in the same kennel for as long as I can remember, I've followed both during their racing careers, and they were due to go to a retired greyhound rescue, didn't trust them to home them together......................so............. you've probably guessed.................. we are taking them on. This is 'River', race name Droopys Rives, 4yrs This is Grace, race name Listry Ace, 5yrs Possibly going to re-name them, River will be Clyde as he's coming to live at the mouth of the Clyde, so Grace will become Bonnie! Really hated the risk of them being split up, too bloody soft for my own good! I'm hoping to go down to Surrey next week to get them, a mere 430 miles each way, so looking forward to that little time waster! That'll be 6 with us at present, but our old boy is coming up 12 the end of this month and our blue bitch is coming up 11, so being realistic it wont be 6 for many more years more. These 2 will almost certainly be the last we take on, we will both be in our 70's when the last of these depart, we might take on A single older one, but no plans as such. I'll put some more pictures up when I've got them home, these are race kennel 'stock' pictures taken earlier so there may be some white coming on their muzzles by now, then again there may not. 2 more for beach walks then. Terry
Here are my lazy mutts. Cavaliers not very bright, but pretty & very loving especially when food about. Spend 18 hours a day asleep!
Thanks Dorothy was a Newfoundland ( and an Irish show champ ), now used in Italy for water rescue ( launched from Helicopters ), but were originally bred as draught dogs hauling carts & sleds in Newfoundland and worked off fishing boats.
