Do this, I always do. Put TOR pipes on my America, just boxed up std pipes, sprayed with a light oil, boxed them and put them in the loft. If you trade your bike in, you'll get nothing for the Arrow cans.

When you buy your new bike, sell the Arrow cans and use money to buy new bits for the new bike. All the bits I sold from my Gixxer, can, screen, short levers, etc, nearly paid for all my bits for the America !!! Have done this with both my bike sales, and then the missus can't complain you buy shiney new trinkets for the new bike in three years time !!! Winner

Yes, did that with all the luggage too when I traded the Sprint1050, and again with the Multistrada. Dealers just aren't interested in giving value for extras (even though it makes their selling the bike easier). And I was amazed at how much some people will bid on ebay for some of the second hand bits!

Yep, came to that conclusion after other replies. Got a good box of original bits building up now :)

Hey you could hire std ones off me, I could do a hiring service! Snigger snigger. The fact that yours say 'NOT FOR ROAD USE' in big enough letters don't help. My mate years ago drilled the word ' not' and put a large rivit through it. It actually looked std and then read 'FOR ROAD USE'! Success!

Don't worry, my Bonneville passed an MOT with un-baffled Dunstal TOGAS on. (very loud) and stamped clearly "Not for road use". MOT tester said not to worry - they were all deaf. No advisory either.
