    In the early 80's, a friend of mine ran his new CB900F on Unipart 10w-40 car oil he got from a local car spares shop in the next village. It did over 40k faultless miles before he part exchanged it for a GPZ900R in 1985. Back then it was mineral oil but it's fair to say modern synthetics made for cars would not be wet clutch friendly.
